    Hey My Man,

I love the house - perfect hidaway for me.

However, while you're checking out calis_riakel's situation you might want to look in to this as well. I'm no mod geniouse here, but I ran into a clitch last night with the TG quest line "Loud and Clear." After talking to Brynjolf upon completing "Taking Care of Business" when he asks me to follow him into the Ratway Cistern, TCB closes as it should but "Loud and Clear" does not trigger. Thus when I follow him into the Cistern, he doesn't speak to me, and I get attacked by the whole guild for trespassing.

Unfortunately for me, I had food poisoning this morning, and could not go to work. So I spent about four hours on-line researching, then disabling all my mods, and then enabling them one by one to see if I could pin point the problem. Unfortunately for both of us (since I love the house) with MarasEyeMannor disabled the quest line functioned normally.

Please, I hate to be the bearer of bad news - especially knowing how hard you modders work to bring us great additions to Skyrim. I also understand it could be a conflict with other mods running at the same time with yours, a Bethesda thing, and many other misc. variables.

I just thought I'd bring this to your attension. And, I'll keep testing for possible mod combination conflicts, and report back if I come up with anything else.

    @calis_riakel:

I'll fix the mannequin no problem. As for the rest. *Jaw dropped at long post* I'll have to look into it.

I too have faced the alpha wolf and the thief but I assumed it was from another mod like Deadly dragons as I have the creature mod enabled. But if it is MY mod that would be strange. I didn't mess with too much outside of the house and nothing towards Riverwood. But then again who knows. I personally liked the thief and wolf encounter (got me some cool loot early on) but it was not intended so if it is my mod I will change it.

*Update* So I loaded the creation kit without my mod and found the Alpha wolf with just the Skyrim.esm and Update.esm files loaded. So it appears it is in my master files! I'll have to look into it some more. Should be able to delete them, save and reload the mod.

Can't believe i didn't come across this home sooner. Very nice, thanks for sharing it. I had some sneaky mannequin wander, but i can sort that out. A great home i'll be getting a lot of use from.

As i was coming out of the basement i had a mannequin (literally) standing right in my face.

I did however come accross another issue i isolated to your mod (it took a clean install of Skyrim ro discover). I had started a new playthrough as a mage, had just passed the standing stones and was running towards Riverwood when i got attacked by an Alpha Wolf

    http://steamcommunity.com/id/i_steele/screenshot/596968901972141565?tab=public

Now i have played a fair bit of Skyrim (350+ hours acording to Steam) and i had never once seen one of these in game. I shrugged and pressed on after killing it, after doing an inventory clean out and doing the blah convo bits in riverwood i wandered up to the Embershard mine and cleared it out. After exiting and heading back towards riverwood i got jumped by a theif (i was still level 1) that pretty much just one shot me cause i wasn't ready for it - most stuff is levelled and shouldn't be 1 shotting you. So after getting pissed off and trying about 8 x before finally killing the guy, i discovered he was in full Guildmaster's armor (unfortunately i didn't get a screeny of that - my alpha wolf screenshot was taken after i repro'd something dodgy was happening).

This kind of set off wtf bells in my head so i decided to look into the Alpha Wolf specifically as after having spoken with another well versed Skyrim playing friend, we both agreed we had never seen one in all our time playing. Here's what i found:

    http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Alpha_Wolf

    Specifically:
Precisely. The Alpha Wolf won't appear in the game unless its parent object - the E3demoMarker - is enabled, either using the CK or the in-game console. It's obviously one of a number of objects in the game that were set up purely for the demo at E3 last year. --Gaebrial 07:18, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

At that point i completely uninstalled Skyrim ( i run so many mods that unsinstalling and removing the skyrim folder from Steam's directory, then restoring my backup from post installation is a lot faster than disabling everything and trying make sure Skyrim is vanilla. So once i had done my restore, put in all my visual mods (and that i knew had not caused anything odd in the past) then enabled your mod. I started a new mage and played through Helgen Keep, upon exiting and running through towards Riverwood...BAM Alpha Wolf in the face just around the area of the mine. So to make sure. I loaded a quick save i made in the caves below Helgen (just before Spiders) and repeated that part a second time. BAM same wolf, same spot again (and that's where my screenshot came from). Nex i DISABLED your house mod, loaded up from my save in the caverns before the spiders and did the same trek down to Riverwood with no Alpha Wolf. I exited Skyrim, reloaded and checked again, same thing no Alpha Wolf. Next up i re-enabled your mod and repeated my trek and in the exact same spot as the other 2 times...BAM...Alpha Wolf to the face.

What this means for me though is i wont be using the mod (which disappoints me - i liked the house) because of the potential for broken encounters and by that i mean stuff that shouldn't exist or mobs not scaling to level properly etc. I don't know enough about the CK to know how to go into your mod and based on that page i linked to, find that setting in it or i would try and correct it, but what i have posted above was (imo) pretty solid steps to repro it. I will though keep an eye on this mod because, as stated above, i liked this mod.

I am also gonna add a disclaimer here to other players to say: All of the above was what happened for me. Other peoples mileage may vary based on what mods they do or don't have installed and this mod may still be awesome for people who are using it in a game with their established characters. I did however want to let the author know what i found so it can be looked into and as i said, i am fairly confident i used solid methodology to repro it. No disprespect to the author is intended

Thanks for this... its my new favourite home. Endorsed.

I ran into a couple of storage problems, though. A few of the bookshelves in the library seemed to be unusable with the dialog being activated far outside the actual shelf itself if at all. Even with the use dialog coming up, activating does nothing. And, trying to put the woodsman's axe onto any of the weapon racks in the basement caused it to float in mid air in the middle of the hallway. I forgot to try any other weapons to see if it was item specific or not. I'll update when I get a chance to get back in game and check.

    Thanks for the hard work.

@yafi Because it is a player house. There are so many of them on the Nexus even the best (with a few exceptions) tend to get lost in the shuffle. But thank you for the great comment. After I figure out how to do scripting and update the house it might get some more exposure.

Absolutely amazing house!! The detail that you put into this is really cool. This place had my vote as soon as I saw the entryway... AWESOME!! I wish I knew how to use the CK, because there are just a few changes I would like to see made. First, I noticed you put a chest in the Alchemy area, and one in the Enchanting area, but none in the cafting area. I would also like to see more mannequins in verious spots throughout the house. I've heard that mannequins are a pain to deal with on the CK, so that wouldn't really be necessary. Anyway keep up the good work... I wish I had your talent!

P.S. I love the "PAC-MAN" reference in the kitchen!! LOL

    Peace

Thanks for all the positive comments.
@ Sargonnas (you seem really interested in where it is located) it is just off Mara's Eye Pond just south of Windhelm. It will show on your map upon DLing and activating the mod.

@MaidenUSA I originally wanted to make this just for me but after putting so many hours into it wanted to share. I left all the plaques, display cases, bookshelves and mannequins empty for everyone to place what they like easily (and to be honest it made for less work on my part) but feel free to open it up in the CK and delete anything you dislike and decorate away!

Glad you all like the house and enjoy!
