Update: Author appears to have abandoned this work as well. There is a new follower mod now that lets you choose the combat style. Warning: The new follower control mod is not at all compatable with UFO, and the new versions of MHIYH and UFO are way better than the new follower mod, as it is in an early stage with very few of the same luxuries. However, neither UFO nor MHIYH allow your followers to dual wield like the new follower mod (I forget what it's called.)
People should unendorse this mod. Same way people endorse uploads that don't even function, same way they will continue to upload them. Leave it to imbeciles to upload half assed mods and crowd of idiots to follow them.
Despite the negative comments about this mod, I've been using it a long time with no problems, along with UFO, another supposedly outdated, broken mod. I recently switched to Follower Mod, as it offered a few things UFO didn't, but it has problems, soooo back to UFO. I thought I uninstalled this mod, but looking back at my mod list, I didn't. This was one of the very first mods I ever installed, and has functioned much as advertised.
It did that a couple times to me, until I reset the load order. Now it does it once and a great while, but I load again and it works. Unlike those two idiots who replied to your first might say, it is the fault of the modder, but it's also your fault for downloading. You shouldn't load into any saves but a brand new save after installing a mod, a new save for the sake of testing. If the mod doesn't work, delete that save, and load an earlier one. However, unlike many think, saves unloaded are still affected *mildly*. For some reason Bethesda edits all the saves to some degree and in some instances. The only way to correct this is to unload all mods, clean the main esps with TES5Edit, and then reinstall all mods, and clean all mods one by one.
