Some of those "real photo" pictures actually have to be a joke... There's just no way you picked those.

This the best ice and snow mod by far, the only problem is that lod textures are just blank white any reason for that? When using DynDOLOD it looks really terrible and you have to look for different lod textures.

It's because they were uploaded eleven years ago and back then there was no DynDOLOD existing. It was the only way to make the lod somehow match the new ice textures. Now the problem is I don't have Skyrim LE installed anymore and can't work on it.

Yea that makes sense. I’m using different glaciers with beautiful LOD now, still enjoying your snow textures tho.

I was born and raised in a 'winter city'. This mod is the closest I've seen yet that looks like the real thing. Thanks so much for sharing your work.
    Now I'm homesick. lol

Hello, your snow IS more realistic and A LOT better from a texture point of view than the Vanilla one. HOWEVER, there's a problem, at least with the "medium" version: patches of snow in the College of Winterhold have too definite edges, it almost seems to look at floor tiles (I don't know if I'm clear, ask for more clarifications if you need them. Sorry for the bad English, it is not my native language). Had to remove the mod because that appearence was too immersion-breaking. How much bright is the "bright" version? maybe if it is white enough, the snow could be confused with the environment once again, as it is the case with the Vanilla version...

I don't know if the bright version will fix your issue. Why don't you download it and try?

It might be because you are using Mod Organizer 1 instead of MO2

Any chance for a port over to SSE?

No, sorry, because for some reason, the textures don't work as they should on SSE, and I don't have the time to investigate it.

    Love the glaciers in specific.

I like that the glaciers have LODs. But one of them is only 128px. I have done 2K and 4K 3D LODs for trees in the past, but found that it was kind of excessive and not really needed. So now when I run DynDOLOD, I do 1024px LODs.

I have one type of glacier that still shows up blue. I took apart a ton of mod archives trying to find the problem. I even checked the Skyrim bsa's and DynDOLOD Resources. Cannot figure it out.

Any ideas for what I can try or check?

    Thanks

Hey, I had the same problem when I was creating this mod. I couldn't for the life of me find where this blue glacier is!!!

Even installing the LODs separately, DynDOLOD creates a 2048px glacierslabnoalpha.dds in DynDOLOD Textures. Glacier LODs look okay during the day but at night they are so white that they pretty much glow in the dark! : )

I still like your glaciers best though because they are the closest to white I can find.

I like the snow and how it fixes the clipping on roads, but unfortunately it causes noticeable clipping with the 'no snow under roof' mod. You can see it if you look at the wooden floors. Is there any chance this can be fixed?

      Hey,
this is a texture replacer, so for a problem like this, you must talk to the 'no snow under the roof' author.
