omg yes yes this is so needed thank you so much for your mod I appreciate it so much. I hate how easy it is to buy everything so fast this helps so much . makes playthrough so much more meaningful when taking that job for gold
I'm doing a lighter version mod list (less than 50 mods) and I must have this. Doesn't matter how I play the game, simply making skyrim expensive is very needed.
This mod is perfect for people who are tired of being the Donald Trump of Skyrim with billions of Septims in pocket. This mod is perfect if you like to be poor or close to a hobo. Or give more values to goods. Use it with other immersion mods, like a water/food mod, or a Death Alternative so bandits can rob you, and you will never dare to walk around with all your wealth with you.
Good mod, actually care about gold makes the game more interesting. BUT it would be amazing if you could do a SUPER expensive version, like twice more powerful than now, or even more. Or maybe tell me how to do this using TES5edit.
despite the fact I use multiple mods to make my game more expensive and gain less gold (VeryExpensiveSkyrim, Expensives services and assets, Better fast travel -making carriage cost 1 to 3k-, Gold master, Give me more gold, Animal no gold...), I still have too much gold.
I think more people would like it too as gold is too easy in skyrim.
Bug report. The very expensive version seems cause some spells such as raise zombie and mod spells like summon meteor to go up in magicka cost ranging in the lower 2000's. Haven't tested the normal version, will get back to you on that.
The mod is totaly worthless! What good would it be to increase prices when you can get all of the gold that you want at any time. If you needed 250,000 gold to buy a house, all you need to do is type player.additem f 250000 in the console and you have your house. Do it again just hit the up arrow with the console open and you have anough for two houses.
You can just avoid using consoles. Unless you have been playing with console all the time you have forgotten that console isn't supposed to be part of the playing experience.
It takes a special kind of stupid to call a mod worthless simply because you can't stop using cheats. By your logic what is the point of even playing the game? Seeing as how you can use the console to complete all the quests and get every single item you want.
Is it compatible with other mods with the ability to change certain prices? I have at least one such mod: Perseid Inns and Taverns. I also have Honed Metal which lets blacksmiths actually smith and temper with weapons & armour sets and the mod gives an option to decide how many more percent of the original weapon/armour value the blacksmith take as price for the service.
I've edit mostly global price variables (its about buy/sell price magnification for merchants), so its compatible with all mods that modify item prices directly. Expensive Skyrim doesn't affect any Inns and Taverns, except trading prices, so i think this mods are fully compatible. About Honed Metal: i think it will be fully compatible with my mod, because both mods works completely independent. Expensive Skyrim edits global variables, while Honest Metal depends on items value. But it possible that smith and temper will be much cheaper than buying.
P.s. Sorry for so much late answer. I didn't play/modify Skyrim for year, so login to nexus too.
