That story is one of the scariest, although I thought I would meet some ghost like a Wispmothers or something more terrifying, I really liked the sound, not so much the appearance of an female NPC ghost. thank you for the work and sharing it, a great detail. thank you

I had this in my old LE game for ages, was going over old downloads today and saw this and I wish it was on SE I'd have it again if I could. Would you please consider porting this or allowing the guy below to do it?

It's easy to port yourself. Download the current Creation Kit and install (use GamePoet's videos on Youtube to properly install. The videos really help you). If you have any questions or get stuck SM me and I'll see what I can do to help you along.

Bit late there :P as not long after I ported it. Cheers anyway.

May I upload my ported and fixed version SSE's nexus? I would of course give you credit. The bug fixes I made were I restored some vanilla dialogue you accidentally deleted.

Have you had any word back from the author?

I haven't heard from him so I guess my port/fix is just going to be for personal use.

    Your placement is perfect.

I also have the mods Unicorn, Song of the Green, and Immersive World Encounters installed. Relevant due to them adding other reasons to visit that area. Had this activated and forgot about it. With the number of added NPCs in the game, I was tricked into investigating the ghost in the distance. She gave me quite a scare. Took a moment to realize just who I ran into.

A small gem of a mod. Endorsed and keeping it on for the future.

This is a genuinely spooky and terribly underrated mod.

After all these years from morrowind to skyrim, I didn't read books. Last night I was so bored, I did read these two books. And really enjoyed. Too bad they were 5-6 pages "Books"

I love immersion mods like this. The best part of Skyrim or any open sandbox games, like GTA San Andreas, is the sense of mystery, the idea that not even the residents of that world know about every single secret that still lingers in the darkest corners of that reality.

I appreciate this. The book was probably one of the scariest ones in the entire game.

There was a sequel to this book titled "The Cabin in the Woods", which also details what happend to a particular soldier when he confronted the woman.

It would be pretty awesome if this mod mimicked what that soldiers encounter was like with the woman. Judging by the story, she didn't take on a "spirit like" appearance, but only screamed and then vanished on charging at him.

What makes the entire thing creepy is the atmosphere and presence she has. She doesn't necessarily have to attack the player, just fade in and out of existence at the right times, behaving and taunting the player.

The creep factor is less effective if she acts just like any regular NPC who turns hostile.

Very good mod for those who look scary moments in Skyrim. Would be interesting if she could not be harmed by unenchanted weapons and level with the player?? In the future, maybe you, me (when I improve my modding skills) or someone else could add more scary ghosts to Skyrim. How about bringing Onryo (Japanese ghosts like Kayako Saeki from JuOn the Grudge or those damn ghosts from Fatal Frame) to Skyrim?? Just an idea. Anyway thanks for your mod.

I think that's a great idea. I'd be cool if there were more and scarier ghosts.

Also, how about ghosts which could possess animals and NPCs ? They could be friendly or hostile. If friendly, they could give the player quests. If hostile, the player could either try to only kill the ghost (with either a ghost weapon or a spell) or just kill the NPC (with any weapon).

I removed 15 ITM references with TES5Edit, I don't know if this'll break the mod, maybe you ought to give this a lookin' OminousVoice?

I shouldn't think so. I did a lot of experimenting while making this mod, but I did try to remove everything that wasn't needed, however I figured there might be leftovers.

Fair enough, do you use TES-Edit?
