My sincerest apologies for my absence over the past few years. I felt I had updated my mods to a satisfactory degree and simply lost interest over time, being preoccupied with my studies and work. Skyrim SE's release completely flew under my radar. Now, with renewed interest and vigour, I'll start porting over my older mods as soon as the primary debugging phase for my latest release, Away, Come Away, is dealt with.
Beyond simple nif optimization and preparing the plugins for 64-bit Skyrim, I additionally hope to update all mods to a more modern standard. For instance, I've had a completely redone version of Einherjar Armor laying around on my hard drive for ages and never got around to posting it. I should gradually be updating and porting my older works over the course of this month.
Omesean, so glad to see you back working on these armors, they continue to be some of my all time favorite true Nord armors. Actually since most of the pieces draw on vanilla textures, they still look modern when you install some crisp armor textures, like AmidianBorn and Rustic Clothing for the clothing parts.
If I can come with one suggestion for these armors, then it would be to improve the helmet parts. As you are probably already aware, they are quite top heavy, which makes for a more comical appearance, with a huge bulb on your head. Personally, I prefer the hooded helms from the Stormcloak Explorer mod, or even better, the Winter is Coming armored hoods, which don't have the top-heavy bulb look to their hoods.
Mod works perfectly well for SSE when converted properly, and it even displays your texture mods, so it looks all fresh and modern with some nice retextures. The female model only has 1 look, so if you're not satisfied with the default look, you'll have to use a male character. But the 4 options (light/heavy, sons/einherjar) look extremely good and has some nice variety. You can even toggle the skulls and bones on/off, which makes for a wooping 8 options in total. Very nicely done, looks great in SSE too.
I love this.It looks rugged and Nordic.I just wish to pieces that it didn't have things like skulls or bottles hanging from the belt.It is a little silly and cartoonish. Otherwise this would be my go to armor for male Nords.
Are you playing a female character? If so it seems they all use the same brown fur with bones model. I made a post at the top describing how to fix that. It'll still have the bottles but really what Nord doesn't travel without mead?
I have a problem with the two "buttons" on the chest, that the gold chain is attached to. It seems the textures for thease "buttons" are missing, or something. The surface of the buttons currently are divided into small squares, that have different colours (some are black, some are pink, neon green and such colours), so they lack the correct colours and textures. I have the version of the mod with all the versions of the armour, and the problem is the same for all the armours when I put them on. Can anyone help me, how do I fix this?
I love this armor. It is by far my favorite and fits perfectly with Frostfall. For whatever reason the no bones heavy armor for females uses the mesh with the bones. So if you are wanting one without the bones for your girls you can change this is the CK. Load up EinherjarArmor.esp and Skyrim.esm. Set Einherjar as the active file. On the left expand the Items list and click on ArmorAddon. In the filter box above that type Einher. We'll get a list of the armors. The cuirass is the only part that actually has bones so find OS_EinherjerTorsoVar03 and double click it. On the left of this dialog is the model info for males and females. If you look at the one for females the model is Cuirassf_1. It has that little f there. Click Select, hit yes to all for any errors that pop up, in the Model Data dialog click Edit and navigate to your data folder. Then meshes\Armor\Omesean\Einherjer\VAR03\ and then select Cuirass_1.nif. Click Open then OK and OK again. Go up to File and click save then you're done. I haven't checked the other variants to see if the female is stuck with the bones. If they are same thing applies but you'll need to find the right model. An easy way to find out which is which is while einher is still typed in the filter list click Armor and it'll bring up some more armor info. On the right there is a Name column that corresponds to the in game item names. Find the one you want and remember which Var## it is and go back to ArmorAddon. Do the same thing and Select Cuirass_1.nif instead of Cuirassf_1.nif. Don't forget to save.

In any case, looking forward to your updates.
