#~~(insert fancy symbols here) SRM COMPANION CART (stop instering)~~#
#****#DA MOD DETAILZ#*****#
This mod adds a player owned caravan available for purchase from J'zzir, your neighborhood caravan dealer. Simply walk up to him,
(he is located outside the Pelagia Farms of Whiterun) talk to him about it, and purchase it from him.
Once acquired you can store up to 600lbs in the cart before your horse can no longer run. (REALISM!)
This cart carries your companions too! Any humanoid followers in your service get in and out with you.
The cart adds a wow factor of 1000x to the men and ladies of Tamriel, impress the sexes with your cool new ride.
#****#IMPROVEMENTS OVER LAST VERSION#*****#
1. Added the companion functionality. Works with every in game follower and any custom made ones as well
(unsure about altered race custom companions, such as Dragur or Skeletons. They likely wont be able to play the humanoid animations well if at all).
2. Added a menu system to activate the carts different functions.
This was pretty much essential to do as I was hitting limits using states in the old scripts. T
he menu I believe makes the cart a much smoother experience as well.
3. Added the ability to add Blinders to your horse to change the speed multiplier.
The default speed of the horse is 90, which is a good balance between bounce and speed.
Putting the Blinders on lowers the horses speed to 80. 80 is the smoothest experience but some may consider it too slow.
I added this option to appease both sides, those who wanted good speed and those who prefer less bounce.
4. Once purchased you gain access to a new quest "Where is my cart?" The objective is always where your cart is.
For the more forgetful adventurer.
5. Improved spilling nad grammer usoge in the Note from J'zzir and his diary (HE HAS A DIARY? WHERE?)
6. Improved voice recordings that don't sound like someone is blowing in your ear. Sorry kids.
#****#Future Improvements?#*****#
1. Fast Travel. The cart hates fast traveling. It likes to fly 1000 feet in the air any time it does so. Cart is new stupid horse.
If I can get it to not be dumb, expect it in an update.
2. Less bounce to cart. Pretty sure this is impossible to fix. But I will find a way if there is one. Trust me.
3. Make the magical stone (Read below) move the cart more nicely. It likes to flip the cart upside down on occasions. Sorry bout that.
3. Fix any reported bugs. Like a good modder.
#****#UPGRADE/INSTALL PROCEDURE#*****#
If you are upgrading from the singles edition, simply:
1. remove the mod from your data checklist in the launcher.
2. delete the mod if you wish, found in the data folder of skyrim in BSA/ESP formats.
3. load a save, it will say "You no longer have some data, blah, continue?" Continue loading and once in game,
4. Save a new save file. Not a quick/auto save either. A hard new manual save.
5. Exit game.
6. Download mod,
7. Put in data folder
8. Check in launcher
9. Profit.
If you aren't upgrading, use step 6-9.
#****#Known Issues#*****#
1. If you load a save next to the cart it will likely not be tethered in game,
this also happens very rarely when you park your horse in a bad spot and come back to it again after awhile.
I have put several "failsafes" to negate this issue as much as possible. If this problem occurs to you, simply:
a. Enter Interior. Exit Interior. Fixed.
b. Leave the cart and horse and do something, return to cart after awhile. Should be tethered.
c. Touch J'zzir's stone. Its on the ground where you met him and bought the cart (It is called Magical Stone). It looks like Iron ore. Once touched, the stone moves the cart and horse together in front of you. It wont tether them, so you'll have to use step 1 or 2. But it helps if they are separated a ways and can't find them.
2. Shortly after getting in the cart with the companion, the cart will bounce like mad.
Don't worry, just keep on shuffling and it will stop after a few feet. I find this varies significantly to what race the person in the cart is,
the make and model of nearby statics, and how quickly you like to bugger off when getting in the cart. It may be as little as a slight bump,
to as extremely funny as flipping it infront of the horse. It is random, and it isn't likely to ever be fixed.
Its a collision issue with follower and cart and setVehicle. Not much I can do. Again, it will only last a few feet at most anyways.
3. Rarely, after extended periods of carting, your companion will vanish from the cart yet still be making noises as if in the cart.
Its weird. In my testing its usually a good 30 minute trip in the cart before it happens. However, beyond visually and audio-ly being odd,
it seems to be only a cosmetic issue, as once you exit the cart the companion is right next to you as always. Silly Lydia.
(Supposed) 4. I have bug tested this release for the few past days (got it done a few hours after I released the old versions)
I used a new line of code that I believe fixed an issue I call random-teleportals. You see, randomly and without reason,
sometimes when you tried to get out of the cart it would just teleport you to where you got in or where you started a battle along the road.
It was weird. I have begun using certain AI codes such that I beleive have eliminated the bug and have not seen it in my many hours of testing specifically
for it. Its probably gone, it might not be. If its still here I have something that should nuke it into Oblivion. IF you get this bug, report it please.
Just note it seems very rare/gone atm.
(not really a problem)5. The camera is a bit wonky for the split second before it changes to the horse.
Once you are in the horses perspective (should be easy to notice), just scroll with your mouswheel to adjust your camera like you normally do.
Not a problem but people have mentioned it.
