Looks like this mod has been abandoned. Using Skyrim Special Edition, with the mod loaded and loading a saved game, I can't access my horse's inventory and, with or without the mod loaded, can't use my horse. Now what?
Do you have a version with debug in it? I went back to an old save when I first bought a horse and it worked - but certainly not working now which suggests some data in my savegame has glitched this.
Parts work as the saddlebag weight message is generated at top-left of screen but something in my savegame is stopping the scripts running as with this papyrus output:
[06/20/2013 - 03:23:15PM] Error: Cannot call GetWeight() on a None object, aborting function call stack: [alias WindhelmHorse on quest stables (00068D73)].PlayerHorseScript.OnActivate() - "PlayerHorseScript.psc" Line 69 [06/20/2013 - 03:23:15PM] warning: Assigning None to a non-object variable named "::temp7" stack: [alias WindhelmHorse on quest stables (00068D73)].PlayerHorseScript.OnActivate() - "PlayerHorseScript.psc" Line 69 [06/20/2013 - 03:23:15PM] MFQuest reboot for finding no horse... It would be interesting to see it were possible to do some dynamic repair by manually setting some value in the console which mended the system (such as player.modav XXXXX nnn)
Any chance of seeing the papyrus source? I did a decompile on PlayerHorseScript but lack of experience is comparing the assembler code with source is hampering me somewhat.
I cleared my own problem (not actually sure why this worked). I uninstalled (not jut deactivated the ESP), loaded, saved then re-installed and now everything is working - maybe worth trying for others in the same boat.
Mod does not work. Fix your mod. Sneak while activating the horse does not open the saddle bag. It only allows my character to mount the horse. It sucks when a mod with potential is abandoned.
Any ideas why I can no longer get on my horse after uninstalling this mod? And upon re-installing, it was able to play for a few minutes, with my horse (which was empty before i uninstalled), having almost 200 wt. in the bags (wtf?), and now i just CTD every time i load any game... fun times.
Not working for me, even after making sure I'm fully patched. I've mounted and dismounted, saved and reloaded, bought new horse. Just isn't working I am using a ton of other mods tho, probably a conflict of some kind.
Doesn't work. Is there an update required? I have the original base game. I already had a horse before I loaded this mod. Do I have to buy a new horse?
OK, that was the problem. Once I upgraded to the latest patch the saddlebags worked (after I sat on and got off my horse, that is).
Doesn't matter for the "visible saddlebags" IMHO. It's ok. There a strange issue: stolen items appear red in the saddlebags inventory. They should not, as for the player (there is a "Stolen" label in the upper right of the item description though.... I think should be the same for the horses).
Could you also change generic menu label "Saddlebags" with "<Player>'s horse"? I think the saddlebags should also be organized by categories like every other inventory (Weapons, Food etc.).
"elaborate geometric calculation " just to mount horse in a very limited and specific condition? If this slow downs the scripts I suggest you to drop this almost useless feature... IMHO.
