Hey Kevkas! Don't know if you're still around, but I stopped by to download Bullseye to Dragonslayer for my fifth (sixth?) Skyrim play-through. I'm really surprised this mod hasn't gotten more "love" over the years, so I wanted to post my personal appreciation here. This mod is a creative solution to an irritating bug. Thanks for sharing!
I'm merging certain small mods like this one, and I noticed that this alters the Tamriel Worldspace for some reason. What purpose is there, and is it safe if I remove that in TES5Edit?
That's a dirty edit, the CK makes that edit even though I've never even touched any cells in the game with this mod, it will happen with all mods. So yes, it's safe to remove that entry with Tes5Edit.
"As some of you may know, Archery at 100 allows you to get the perk to give the ability to paralyze the enemy upon shooting. The problem is that they GET PARALYZED ON RELEASE of the bow string. So what happens is that while the arrow travels through the air, they'll already have fallen down due to the paralyze effect triggering, making the shot miss."
Nice mod and make sense, you convinced me with "The Nords tell tales of Dragonborn heroes who were great dragonslayers, able to steal the power of the dragons they killed."
As stated in the description, this mod fixes the wrong percentage that the perk gives you. The 'paralyzed on release' problem can't be fixed as far as I know.
The percentage fix is now included in the USKP, so if you use it you don't really need this fix. Alternatively, if the paralyzed on release problem annoys you, or if you don't like the Bullseye perk as it is, you can download the Dragonslayer Perk, which replaces the Bullseye perk with an altenative perk I came up with.
It would be nice to mention in the description that this perk was fixed in USKP, as this mod would mostly be interesting for those who do not want the whole USKP.
Such a simple change, but it changes so much in the end. Sometimes those little line of thoughts like yours are what's needed to spice things up. Thank you for both this and the ABT mod!
AAWWWWWWWWWsome. That was creative indeed and i think it's a great perk to have as an archer especially if you're playing in legendary too! thanks alot!
I thought it was! I just checked and you're right, it isn't. I then read in the FAQ - Bugs from USKP:
If you found a fix that isn't yours, provide us a link. The mod in question absolutely MUST have clear permissions listed saying that the assets within the file can be used freely. If this information is not readily visible, we will not pursue it further. Though it may seem otherwise, we have little time to chase these sorts of things down.
If you authored a fix yourself, report it to the bug tracker. Archive the fix (zip, rar, 7z, etc) and attach it to the bug report. If you have posted it to Nexus or another mod hosting site, you can instead provide us the link to that and we'll download it there.
So that's probably why it wasn't included, because of the restrictions in permissions I gave this mod. I've sent a PM to Arthmoor to let him know it's ok for them to include the Bullseye perk fix in USKP if they want, I'll post back whenever I hear from him.
The perk Bullseye actually sends out an invisible Paralyze spell that is faster than the arrow. The negative effect of this is that if the bow is shot from a large enough distance, the target will become paralyzed and drop to the ground before the arrow can hit, making it miss.
I'm afraid I can't fix that guys, I tried, but either I'm not experienced enough with the CK, or it can't be done. I admit I don't know much about editing spells with the CK, but I'm more inclined to think it's a difficult thing to fix because if it wasn't the Unofficial Skyrim Patch would have already fixed it by now.
If it's really annoying you could try increasing arrows speed (check my other mod, ABT, and use the Faster Arrows Improved tweak), doing that will make arrows get to the enemies faster thus reducing the chance of the paralyze effect to kick in first. The other solution would be replacing that perk, which you can do with the Dragonslayer perk I provide as an alternative in this mod.

Could you fix that?
I was really hoping that someone had FINALLY found a way to fix this!
I only use the bow because I LOVE sniping from long-distances, and this damn paralyze spell keeps making me miss because my targets have fallen over!
Enter this at the console if you hate the paralysis perk as much as I do!
