...There are many major warrior figures across the history of the world, be them of evil or good character, they all share the fact that they carry a unique weapon of their own around their waist, some more crude, other magical or ordinary, some are extremelly intricate pieces, those ones usually do not see much action, due to their high value and appearance, ruining those weapons in battle is considered an absurd.
It's really unfortunate too look upon them with such though, those weapons are usually made only by the greatest of smiths, and that does not only reflects to its beauty, but also to the quality of its materials and overral hardening proccess. Banneredge is a paragon in quality of its looks and sturdyness, its accute tip is really good to thrust and pierce your foes, a perfect piece to be taken into battle and be remebered by your enemies, that is, if at least one them survive to tell the story...
Can be crafted at any forge, but first you need to have "Steel Smithing" and have completed the "Battle for Whiterun" quest(from Stormcloak or Imperial Legion, any of those two).
Damage is tiny slightly higher than a Daedric Sword, its also very light.
