Before anyone keeps asking, yes, I do have plans to create new animations for cats as well (those based on the sabrecat behavior), when I eventually have time, hopefully in November.
And yeah, I would never go out of my way to call myself a professional animator lol, I may just produce something with the skills I already have, and at least that's something.
I currently use Blender 4.0 with NifTools, also using an UI version of hkxconvert (which I think is no longer available but I've kept it stored on my external hard drive for years now) to convert kf/hkx files back and forth. Sounds cool that you also work on animations! I've technically been modding Skyrim since release, slowly exploring my skills in using different tools or resources. And I also have some experience in working with 3D stuff since the "gymnasium" I went to where I studied video game development. There we worked in Maya though.
if you think that's hard try rolling something the size of a house, has wings, and 4 foot long spikes on its back. god i hope i won't need to do that again.
only found you here by fluke, someone asked me how to make this mod work with foxes...or to be more precise how to add the stock dog idles to foxes so this mod would work on them ( but it's not going well, i can only find half the info i need to even try it. so the only other option i can see is to remove the "getisrace wolf" condition from "WolfNonCombatIdle [IDLE:000A82BD]" to enable "WolfIdleHowl [IDLE:000A82BE]" for foxes and then change this mod to replace the Howl animation....but i also can't find the file name of the Howl animation, i think maybe it's "wolf_idle_spice.hkx". )

Kidding aside. Well done. The roll animation could have been a little slower. But really good otherwise.
It is hard to animate a roll. Trust me I know.

We needed dog animations. Can't have the cats running around alone.
I have been animating Skyrim since 2018. These are fluent and immersive.
Did You use Blender or 3DSMax? - Or maybe that new Cascadeur?
I guess that's why I never got tired of Skyrim. We can really do anything in this game. There are no limitations.
After almost finishing my modding list in SE this has become even more evident.
I had spent 10 years in LE. Thought it was perfect.
Only now do I really see how much better SE has become. The mods coming out the last 2 years are mind blowing.
Yeah I would imagine that to be one of the worst experiences in animation.
But for me it was the rolling part that was so hard to make believeable.
That and the lifting part of my foreplay animation. Still need to make that better at some point.
Trolls and Sabre Cats are so good now.
