This is a backport of ColdSun's Pantheon - Legends - Vayne - The Dunmer Spy mod with permission from the author coldsun1187. The description below is from the original mod.



 A follower for the distinguished player with a sophisticated, refined palate for beautiful characters.

2.0 Definitive Edition - voiced by the fantastic Alexia Renaldis (the voice of Lily from the game Subverse).

1. If you have already recruited Vayne as a follower on 1.x, you will still see her Intro quest. I left it this way on purpose so you folks wouldn't miss out on what she had to say during the intro. It won't cause any issues.

2. If you have already recruited Vayne but she is currently dismissed on 1.x, you will see her new Hair options and the backstory dialogue even if you haven't asked you to follow again. You may also need to do the intro quest (just talk to her) before she will join you again.

3. All the above said and done, I still recommend starting a new game with Vayne just for clean housekeeping. I'm not saying it isn't safe, but its a lot more fun when you meet her for the first time.

MAKE SURE YOU UNINSTALL 1.X COMPLETELY BEFORE INSTALLING 2.0.

Requires HDT-SMP for the Hair Physics of her new wigs to work!

This update to Vayne has been a long time coming, and for that I apologize. That said, this isn't going to be the last update, but she won't receive another major version (1.0 - 2.0) beyond more 2.x lines added. Functionally, as far as her combat skills and basic features, she is done. So the only thing I might add in the future is more backstory, quests, and lines to her.

This mod is an adult mod and not meant for children and contains some voice lines that are NSFW. You have been warned.

Vayne is an evil character designed for a higher-difficulty game setting. She has a very sexually-suggestive and flirty personality. She was designed to play next to that evil vampire, assassin, warlord or whatever you always wanted to play.

Uninstall Previous Versions of Vayne before you install this version. Very important.

Addtional Information

• Includes a Summon Vayne Spell in her inventory. No more losing her.
• Her very own facelight that doesn't use a slot in other facelight mods. Can be turned on and off via the MCM Menu
• Simple distance for her to follow you in the MCM Menu
• Home Assignment and sandboxing (see FAQ below). Turn on and off her home dialog in the MCM Menu (she has her own custom home-assignment system)
• Vayne has a horse named Solace. The horse can be disabled or enabled in the MCM Menu (again, custom horse script built from scratch by Migal.
• Follow distance:  You can make her follow at a normal range or a close behind.
• FaceLight:  Vayne comes with her own FaceLight. Enable it in the MCM.  Do not use another mod's FaceLight on Vayne as it will double the brightness.
• She can be invited to live at BBLS but doing so will double her FaceLight. It is best to wait until her BBLS Patch is released.
• Home Settings:  You can tell Vayne where to live.  Once you've done that, you can add details by telling her where to sleep, eat breakfast, eat dinner, hang out in the morning and hang out in the afternoon. The secondary options are absolutely optional.  If all you do is tell her well to live, that's where she will live. The Home Settings options are based around the players feet. So stand next to the bed where you want her to sleep.  Stand next to the table/chair where you want her to eat, etc.
• If the bed you want her to sleep in has an owner, she cannot sleep in it. This includes beds in the BBLS residence and vanilla player homes. You can clear a bed's ownership by opening the console, clicking on the bed, and entering: ClearOwnership.  This will not break a vanilla home bed. The BBLS bed extensions patch does the exact some thing.  But it will cause Karliah or Serana to not sleep in their beds in the BBLS residence. This will be fixed in her BBLS Patch.
• Where she eats and hangs out does not have to be in the same building as where she lives. She could live and sleep in Breezehome, visit the market in the morning, visit DragonsReach in the Afternoon, Eat Breakfast at the Drunken Huntsman and eat dinner at the Bannered Mare. You decide.
• Vayne has a mount that can be enabled or disabled in her MCM.  If you get on your horse, within a few seconds her horse will appear and she will mount.  How long it takes her to get on the horse will vary depending on the terrain.  When you get off your horse, she will get off her horse and the horse will vanish until she needs it again.
  

Backstory

Vayne’ s parents were once members of the faction of Dunmer who worked and worshiped at the Shrine of Azura in Skyrim. They left their priestly work because they were afraid of Azura’s visions of their future, which the Goddess provided to her worshipers. They settled in Winterhold, and Vayne began to attend the College of Winterhold.  During her training at the college, she was sexually assaulted by one of the other students. Due to his noble station, he was not punished for his actions. Vayne used her illusion magic to sneak into his college chambers and slit his throat.  

Feeling betrayed by the College, she left Winterhold and set off to Riften.  There, she joined the Thieves’ Guild and learned the art of stealth. She quickly rose through the ranks but was also noticed by a mysterious dark elf named Eland Dax.  He was a member of the Dark Brotherhood. He pursued Vayne until she agreed to join the ranks of The Brotherhood.  Eland Dax became her teacher, her trainer, and her lover. Vayne fell for this mentor figure and listened to his every command. She was sent to assassinate many targets across Skyrim at the behest of the Dark Brotherhood and Eland Dax.

Along the way, Vayne realized that Eland was using her. He had no love in his dark heart and in fact had planned to dispose of her when he was done taking over the guild for himself – using her skills.  Vayne abandoned the Dark Brotherhood to its fate with Eland Dax and became a free agent assassin. She went back to Riften and took jobs with the Black-Briar family as well as other rich clients.

Special Perks

Blood Money: Dagger damage while invisible increases if a certain quantity of gold is placed in her inventory. 100 Gold = 10% increase, 500 Gold = 50%, 2000 Gold = 100%.

Nightmare:  Fear spells have a 25% chance to paralyze in low light levels. Dagger attacks deal increased critical damage against fearful/paralyzed opponents. Invisibility increases effects.

Special Weapon: Dagon's Tooth (Dagger) - Drains health from target.


Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My NPCs or Follower have purple textures or don't look right. What is the problem?
A: You need to be sure to download and install the Pantheon Assets Mod before this mod. Check the requirements section for the link. I've noticed that sometimes the download can be corrupted - you should also try to re-download the Asset mod if you have already installed it and still have issues. Finally, be sure you download the correct Asset Mod - this is not ColdSun's World. This is Pantheon. You need the Pantheon Asset mod for this mod.

Q: My faces look discolored or black.
A: You have a conflict with another mod that changes NPC records. Proper load order management is necessary for multiple NPC mods or mods that touch NPC records. When in doubt, put my mods near the end of your load order and give them overwrite priority on anything else.

Q: My BHUNP bodyslide gives me an error when I try to bodyslide.
A: Reinstall BHUNP and be sure to check the "Legacy" checkbox this time.

Q: My Textures look out of whack on the body.
A: Reinstall with the correct download for your body this time - that includes the assets mod.

Q: I have a neck seam (space between neck and body).
A: This can be remedied by following the instructions below:

1. Find Vayne and stand in front of her.
2. Open the console (~)
3. Right-click on the NPC and you will see her ID appear in the middle of the screen. If you misclicked on another object step 4 won't work and try to right-click them again.
4. Type setnpcweight 75 (with the number being the new weight of the NPC - Vayne's weight in my version is 75) and hit enter.
5. Type disable and hit enter.
6. Type enable and hit enter.
7. Close the console (~) and you should be all set.
