1.1 - Little update: I fixed the broken "catch up" script that prevents Venrath from falling behind or getting lost on fast travel. In the old Skyrim version I had no trouble with updating mid-playthrough, but results may vary.

1.2 - Much cooler update. Venrath now rides on a large wolf whenever the player is mounted! Being on a custom framework she wasn't going to work with mods like Convenient Horses, plus she would look a little funny on a horse due to being tiny. I figured out how to make her ride a wolf!

I gave her a try and ... she still sounds like a male Reikling to me. I'm sure if I listened to the source audio and your edited audio they would sound different, but just listening to her in-game she sounds male to me. A quick search of using Audacity to convert a male voice to female indicated 1) increase the pitch by 19% or so and 2) increase the tempo by 5% or so. And the comments were that those two things weren't enough, men and women are different (who knew?). Dynamic pitch changes, not a fixed amount but varying within words, breathiness in spots, etc. There may not be any easy answer to this. I appreciate the effort, though. Cool character concept and cute gal.
I vaguely remember "Chak Chak" by dividedbythe9s having a feminized Reikling voice, but it's been years and I could be wrong.

The riekling voice is already so high-pitched, I deliberately didn't change it by much. Any further and it would have sounded like a crazy chipmunk voice. She's not supposed to be a female riekling, she's supposed to be something else entirely. I think her voice sounds fine. At least, I achieved exactly what I wanted to, and I'm perfectly happy with it. Sorry if you're not.

Clever mod, and impressive work. She is better than the Rieklings - she's close at hand (I don't have to go to an island), I can give her some decent weapons and armor (I used the Emfy Cleric Robes, with steel cuffed boots, all smithing improved), and I would have to add that she's easier on the eyes. I loaded her in mid-play, but I would consider her something to get at the beginning of a play-through. Endorsed.

I have to say that you are spoiling me with all these new mods lately, and I hope you keep it up for months............. :- )
Venrath is quite an interesting character and a real asset too. I appreciate that she doesn't add to my follower count  especially. She'll be around indefinitely.....
I haven't any clue what she says since it is gibberish but, you made it easy by providing options to communicate with her.
I was having that issue with her keeping up if I rode a horse but, I look forward to her riding a wolf, since I just updated with v1.2
I wasn't aware that there was a quest involved,(MrPsycho11) I met her inside Haemar's Shame and after a small dialogue we left.
    Thank you for sharing, again........

Technically any time there is dialogue it is contained in a "quest" in game data. The conversation you have with her has quest stages and everything, it's just hidden in terms of your quest log, there's no real actions or objectives other than talking to her. So in short, you did the quest.

I'm glad you are enjoying the mods! Currently working on updating Misty Skye with similar mount support.

Thanks for the information about the quest, I was scratching my head trying to figure out how I missed it..........
Venrath can keep up with me now and I can ride a horse without leaving her way behind. :- )

Glad it's working out for you!

You know, it turned out to be much easier than I expected to implement a mount for a follower. Once I figured out the basic trick, it's been easy to update several mods with this feature.

Yea, but how many of the followers that you made need a wolf to ride instead of a horse???  :- )

Allevia obviously needed a sabrecat, and a wolf seemed right for Venrath. I'm hoping to get some kind of farm animal for Rufus, but I have to get permission from the guy who made those. Misty's going to get a unicorn. I don't know if I'm doing custom mounts for anyone else, because there are a lot of mods that offer mounts for standard followers.

The mod is good, but there is a minus, for me personally. I want to see her as a full-fledged companion, with normal height and a human voice.
Very beautiful, but as a rikling it spoils everything(((

seeing as the "inspiration" for this was ESO i think using Rekling voice files works my only questions are the following:

dose she work with EFF?, Conveniant Horses, iNeed and custom player home mods also when you say hamarshame do you mean the cave with the wooden ramp or where the statue is?

She might run into problems with follower mods since she's not technically a follower. Feel free to try stuff and see what works.

She's in the first cave, this is why I say just inside the entrance. It's called "Haemar's Shame" on the map and in the game records even though the actual cave is confusingly named "Haemar's Cavern." In any case you can't get into that second cave without going through the first one, so you'd find her pretty quick... unless you console hack your way inside, but if you're console hacking I recommend the exterior cell (noted in the description) because the COC marker inside the first cave is in a stupid place.

      EDITED POST:

found her where she was said to be but did it after finishing the quest and no conflicts; not bad in combat although can confirm she dosnt fast travel but she can be added to EFF so can be "spawned" if she falls behind. she uses healing items aka food/ drink/ potions and has a sandbox A.I package when told to wait meaning she works with iNeed. only slight issue is her face isnt the same as the screen shots so knowing which facegen preset you used would be helpful also knowing if replacers for other mod followers will work on this mod would be helpful.

a good basic follower a solid 8 out of 10

Thanks man, but this is far from my first attempt... I've been at this ten years and I'm pretty well practiced at making followers. Doesn't mean I can't do some weird experimental ones.

I'm working on an update to fix the fast travel issue. There's a "catch up" script that isn't working and I'm in the process of troubleshooting that.

Differences in her appearance will be down to the meshes and textures you have installed, since she just goes off whatever skin textures you use. For example, she is technically a "high elf" under the hood and you might have different face normalmaps for elves.

dont use anything that changes preset races like High Elf but it might be a facegen conflict that also effects my version of the Sofia mod just wanted to know if there was a specific race/ character preset you used for the screenshots

Honestly you are talking nonsense here. "Presets" do not affect the in-game appearance of any characters. You can run into problems with facegen files that are missing or mismatched, but this is a unique character and comes with her own facegen so conflicts are literally impossible, as long as you don't do anything dumb like try to edit the plugin. Again, your character in-game will look different based on your default face textures. If you use a lot of modded/customized NPC's you might not be used to seeing default face textures. Feel free to share a screenshot if there's a specific appearance-related thing you want to troubleshoot, but you're on the wrong track with this "preset" stuff.

Pretty and funny little daedra ... I use normally AFT , But i don't need it with her . Just a little thing : she does'nt fast-travel , so we have to wait for her ; when we go somewhere . She follows immediately if we enter in a house . Thank you , i add screenshots ( she is nude on one of them , so tag your mod as " nudity " or delete it ) .

Thanks for the pictures! I did have to delete the nude one. Tagging mods as adult makes it invisible to a lot of people, so I only do that if there’s something “adult” about the mod itself.

      OK , no problem .
She would be better with a " more feminine " riekling voice . But obviously , i haven't seen female rieklings in Solstheim . How do they make babies ? maybe they are hermaphrodites , like snails .

BTW I should be able to fix your fast-travel issue with a pretty simple update, I caught a small mistake that kept her "catch-up" script from working and I'm doing a little testing to make sure I can resolve it.

You're welcome! I'm glad you like it! I try to offer something a little different any time I make a mod. I feel like pretty followers are a dime a dozen and there's got to be something else to make it worth looking at.

I get so many requests for other body types on my followers, I figured for a change I would just let people use what they wanna use!

I make mods and I leave it to other people to make videos. I would love it if somebody decides to feature it but I'm not holding my breath.

I highly encourage any person who is curious to simply download the mod and check her out in your own game. It's free!
