how do you backport animation like what tools do you use ? and what kind of animation that can't be backport asking for personal use edit: is a mod like hogwarts legacy can be backported?
Backporting animations is simple, provided you have the right tools. I use what is taught here, that is: - Havok Tools; - a Bat file and - an archive called "SkyrimRefrence.hko".
As for what animations can be backported, the answer is pretty much anyone. If it's a simple animation.hkx file, it can be backported. The problem is when a mod uses certain tools to animate properly like Hogwarts in Skyrim, because it changes the core of how the game handles gameplay and often this kind of mod requires things like SKSE64, Address Library, Dll's, Animation Motion Revolution, Behaviour edits and on and on. SSE "animation" mods have a LOT of requirements like that and, since Oldrim does not have equivalents, those mods do not work here.
So, to simplify:
- Animations (the files in .hkx format) can be backported in seconds, no problem. - Mods that alter gameplay in a big way through the use of SKSE64 and its derivatives and are animation based (Hogwarts in Skyrim, MCO, Book of Shadows, Animated Poisons etc etc) can not be backported.
Yes and no. I tripped when uploading the backport and labeled it as 1.0 when actually this is the same version that is on the SSE page, that is, 1.1. I simply chose not to backport the other animation, which contains a jump attack for the werewolf.
Anyway, why all the interest on an "updated" version?
