I liked this mechanic in Dragons Dogma, if only they could collect plants or ore

When I recruit a new follower, on first mission they go 100% naked, as we defeat enemies, they equip some of their weapons and I give them some armors. It would be interesting if this Mod allowed followers to automatically unequip their old weapons and old armor and change it when they find a better one

Is it too much to ask?

I'm pretty sure followers equipping the best weapon/armor in their inventory is already part of the base game. Sometimes it takes awhile before they switch though.

I have never seen that functionality with Armor, not even in those with higher AI.

It is true that some of the best followers use their best weapons according to the Opponent, but they never take on their own the best weapon from enemies defeated, that is the part that I would like to automate, it would create a lot of immersion

Note: There is a Mod in SL already did it,  but only for slaves when are released

@LatinGames If you've never seen the option in the game that the Follower uses armor weapons with better stats, then you haven't played much Skyrim.
This option is already available in the basic version of the game. You may have a mod that blocks this. In EFF, Followers have two inventories, one with the items they use and the other with what they carry. This may be the reason why something not working for you or a similar mechanic in another mod.
Anyway, interesting mod with a great function. Just not for me because I don't like playing with Followers who don't die. and they take on the entire burden of the fight

Are you sure it is Automatic?

Although I have played Skyrim for more than 9 years with an Extremely high difficulty level, I never hear about that functionality before.  And Yes I always  used EFF a Must have in my very overloaded Gameplay

Every day you learn something new in Skyrim, Thank you

      No problem m8 ;)
I have almost 12.000 hours in my Skyrim LE.  At the beginning, when I wasn't using EFF yet, but I enjoyed the game exploring Skyrim with Followers I was irritated by the fact that when I exchanged equipment with my Followers, they themselves equipped items with higher statistics. I really didn't like it and EFF turned out to be the perfect mod to solve my problem.
So maybe I will use this mod someday which have nice potetnial
      Regards

Have you not used Nether Framework? its far superior to extensive follower framework in terms of functionality and being mostly bug free. Unless you like it for a specific reason?

If you fast-travel with them, do they end up with equipped items that best suit their skills/class?

So can I use it with follower overhauls? Like Amazing Follower Tweaks for example?
