About this mod

This is not just another killable children mod. Past killable children mods had unintentionally prevented children from doing dedicated child animations, as in Hearthfire. This mod aims to fix those issues. If you use this mod, NO OTHER KILLABLE CHILDREN MODS ARE REQUIRED.

Permissions and credits
This is a stand-alone replacement for GarlantheGreat and iMACobra's Immersive Children LE. They also provide a more extensive explanation of the mod's features, which I will not copy and paste here.

Immersive Children 5.0 modifies several vanilla resources as well as how all NPCs interact with furniture pieces. This can cause compatibility issues if you have a mod that modifies those sections for its own narrative.

For example, if a mod author wants a child to use a specific piece of furniture, all a creator has to do is check the "child can use" check box within the creation kit. However, because the Immersive Children 5.0 plugin removes the child flag from all children, that checkbox becomes worthless.

Furthermore, because Immersive Children 5.0 removes the vanilla interaction keyword from many base furniture objects, children will be unable to use them unless they have the "IsAdult" keyword, which they will not have.

With the exception of the numerous furniture and NPC adjustments, this Lite version has all of the functionality of their plugin. Even if the "child can use" check box is deactivated, children will use all furniture pieces. It's all or nothing, after all.

Anyway, don't worry about disrupting home sleeping arrangements because the adopted children will continue to use the child bed because it was allotted at the time of adoption. If you don't like watching a youngster grow or shrink utilizing a specific crafting station, try using Abbalovesyou's Universal Race Scale Remover; it's fantastic.

Basic Features

  • removes the Child flag from child races, rendering children mortal (except
Aventus, Babette, Fjotra, and Nelkir who are not mortal until their
    associated quests are completed)
  • checks the 'Allow Pickpocket' flag, making them pickpocketable
  • fixes unique Hearthfire child animations that stop working after the child flag is turned off
  • fixes furniture usage so that children will assume the correct animation when
sitting on chairs and will not use certain furniture, such as crafting
    stations
  • adds coffins and urns for children to the Halls of the Dead to increase immersion
  • does fixes for some child beds that were incorporated into USLEEP after we
reported it (Adara, Knud, Sissel and Britte never slept because their
    beds weren't designated child-sized beds)

Installation Note:

I fixed certain animation bugs found in the full version of Immersive Children's LE recordings that were causing furniture interaction failures with children on certain game loads. I'm not sure if the same problem occurs in their SSE version, but you won't have to worry about it with this plugin.

In addition, I made an expanded ESP plugin to go along with the master file so that you don't have to build a separate kid patch in TES5Edit like you do in the full version of Immersive Children. To be honest, even the complete version can employ this strategy, eliminating the need for that perplexing patch entirely.

Place the Extended ESP plugin near the bottom of your load order, but before any smashed patches, TES5Edit merged plugin patches, and so on.

If any conflicts develop while installing this plugin, make sure that this plugin wins. If I were you, I would consider making a smashed patch or something like at that point; otherwise, updates done by the losing plugin will be complexly disregarded.

Above all, if you are upgrading from the full version, DO NOT apply the OneChildPatch as recommended on the full version, nor move any additional patches from there to here; none are required.

If you do develop a merged plugin, smashed plugin, or other patch for your complete load order, make sure to include the Extended ESP file. Anyway, have fun and let me know if you run into any problems.
