    Is there a newer mod that does the exact same thing if not does this work with Special Edition of Skyrim? I feel this mod should have been updated I never play Skyrim without this nerf to Impact.

    Without it was the impact perk was way to overpowered. Before I downloaded this mod I was capable of killing the Ebony Warrior on Master in 30 sec, because he never even came close to hit me

    Great work, thank you!

    With this mod and other three simple mods I have customized the magic system so that it is fun and balanced at the same time. These four mods together have the same result as many magic overhauls such as "Balanced magic", with the advantages of modularity and customization.

    1) Dual Casting Choices -> I chose x2.8 mana cost (same as vanilla) and x2.5 damage (instead of x2.2 in vanilla).
    2) Better dual casting and magicka regen -> Just the magicka regeneration esp
    3) Impact - Perk Effect Reduction -> I chose the 40% chance
    4) Improved Destruction Magic -> Only "Improved Destruction Perks.esp"

    Just in case someone else is looking for something similar.

      Thanks for the list. I was looking at the same mods and it seems we have a similiar taste, except for #4.

      That mod is from 2011, before the CK came out.. I wonder how safe it is to use that.

    Thanks for adding this! Very small and simple change that completely rebalances the magic system. I have a mod that scales up magic with level so impact feels like a serious cop-out. Now I can take the perk without a guilty conscience.

    Hi, great job. Endorsed and voted for.

    I was wondering if you could also ballance shield perks? I mean the time-slowing one (quick reflexes?) and shield charge. I find both of them quite ovepowered and would welcome a mode decreasing chances of their effects. (say 30% instead of vanilla 100%?). Thanks very much!

    I think you implemented it the right way Wonszlol, because the other mod (that I know of) that makes a similar change to Impact is Truly Balanced Destruction Magic (but it's kind of an overhaul and I wasn't interested in all the changes it makes). I checked that mod on the CK (and yours) and you seem to have changed it correctly.
    Edit: actually, there's a tiny mistake, the condition GetRandomPercent should be < 40 instead of <= 40 (since GetRandomPercent returns a number from 0 to 40 it would actually be 41% chance if you use <= ).

    You should still change the description of the perk though, to 'Destruction spells will stagger an opponent 60% of the time when dual cast'. Otherwise the description of the perk would be misleading (vanilla is 'Most destruction spells will stagger an opponent when dual cast').
