Note: I DO NOT play Skyrim Special Edition, so content added by such things as Creations aren't patched (obviously, since I don't play Skyrim Special Edition). If you want to make a patch for additional content, let me know before releasing such a patch.
Enjoy, my friends. There may be more of this kind of content soon available for release.
I have no idea why, but for some reason I can't get this to work no matter what I do. Nothing happens at all, other fox mods all work fine. I've obsessively checked file paths, tried manual and Vortex installing, gutting folders, making new ones. Nothing. This is too important not to have!!!!!
Am I missing something? Is it borked for anyone else?
Edit. Fixed It. For anyone interested/having similar issues:
Put simply, search for Fox.nif and FoxArctic.nif in you own folders and pay special attention if they appear anywhere other than the default structure (as in the same paths this mod sends them to). It doesn't matter how unlikely it seems, some expansive mods will create their own structure and essentially ringroad the normal structure, nothing but finding it and changing THAT will make it work.
It's not that rare to have problems like that where some big overhaul etc. has its own folders for the stuff, you're normally well aware of them so you just need to change in there too. But foxes are an odd one as they share folders with wolves etc. (and probably other stuff in cases) so you really need to search and double check. I mean butterflies etc. are kept in "effects" by Bethesda so I don't feel like I'm the weird one here hah.
might be silly to ask but would it be possible to ask for a reskin/overhaul?? to sweet roll the fox add in the cc content pets of skyrim? I just love the fluffy foxes so much...
Thank you very much for the port, i always wanted a mod for better foxes!
EDIT: I just noticed you're the original author, for a second i thought this was a backport but in reality the SE is the port, sorry. I am not a great fan of the blurry texture technology used lately on animal texture mods, but in this case it doesn't matter. I waited so long for a mod that revamped foxes and this is definetly the best looking foxes i've seen on Skyrim Modding.
Looks great. But.. it made Frost disappear. Uninstalling this made him visible again. (There is word on the net that fusa fusa could do this to horses.) EDIT: No not this mod - sorry. Turns out Frost is invisible until I reload the game.
