I'm playing this mod right now and it's super interesting. Thanks for the back port. I feel like a real nerd this time in my playhrough lol. It's really awesome
When building a bash patch am getting this (bash still works and haven't seen any glitches ingame (though to be honest I've yet to join the college))-
edit- error went away after saving main esp in CK... (then without testing) making it a master and then making it a master of the USLEEP Bards patch... so I'm saying I don't know if the fix was simply saving it in the CK or saving its addon with it as a master... anyhoo...
Here to report I had the same error. By loading it up in the CK and saving it, it fixed the error; the mod author most likely forgot this step in the back-porting process. Easy fix!
I can assure future readers that the backport contains no errors aside from harmless unused data that were leftover from the SE version of this mod. Saving the .esp in CK is not a part of the backporting process at all, though I presume it removes the unused data, which does not affect gameplay, though it appears that Bashed Patching doesn't like it for some reason.
I just wanted to give a heads up that I discovered a minor incompatibility: the two wardrobes in the player room you get after becoming an official member of the college are set to Respawn by Clothing & Clutter Fixes (also, the strong box on the desk doesn't have the player set as the owner, but this isn't because of CACF). I resolved this for myself by creating copies of the wardrobes in xEdit, set them to not Respawn, and then I changed the containers that were placed in the room to the new containers (I did the same with the strong box by setting the player to be the owner).
EDIT: The long chest at the foot of the bed suffers from the same problem.
Those mods are probably redundant with this mod, though I am not certain. I do not use those mods, so I cannot confirm anything. I am not a person with the time to test for compatibility with other mods, for my job is backporting and debugging those backports. My apologies.
Tryed to play with this mod (thank for backport, great work as alwayes) - even if i will not becoming bard and will not use songs/bard skills and mechanics (immersion/roleplay) - looking great, giving a lot of immersion and life for the most unfinished faction in game, even if you here to only "for looking around museum" as you can tell to Malikah) Location itself (interior) looks just perfect and immersive, also some new lines for NPCs behaviour and interections (with player and with themselves) making them just more alive
And the best part - i can FINALLY decide if i want to enter Bard quest and become bard, or not (in vanilla Vinhalmo giving your quest immidiatly when you entering College (i do that for "Speechcraft" teaching for example, not for joining them) and quest will be in jouranl forever, if you not even want it - or complete and become "bard", if this thing in vanilla can be named like this)
Not played alot with it yet, but i guess here will be not any crucial bugs which would break save or force constant CTD (i hope)
The Bards College has no connections to the Thalmor and this mod does not provide any thalmor-related content inside the College itself. However, if you found a certain implicating book, read it carefully again. The book confirms that the suspicious person is not actually part of the Thalmor. The Thalmor has not infiltrated the Bards College in any way.
I found two Thalmors inside the college which is something I never encountered before. If they're not from this mod maybe they are spawned by one of the encounter mod that I have. I'll check again later.
The Bards College redesign will still work. Bard features of Become a Bard still works mid-save.
I tested everything except for installing the mod after the quest is already complete because obviously that would be broken at that stage. In other words, no working quests for obvious reasons.
To do the quests, either a save before you entered the Bards College or a new save is recommended.
