ColdSun's Pantheon - Legends - Astara Cosma - Imperial Librarian - Fully Voiced
 for Skyrim SE.

The mysterious Astara Cosma grew up in Solitude. She was raised in a wealthy family and her parents spared no expense in her magical training from a young age. She has a eidetic memory and can read far faster than normal people. Since she never forgets what she sees or reads, she is able to pull information out of her head that she read in books years ago. She specializes in fire magic and has learned lore from her research to overcome enemy resistances to fire. She can mentally recite a mantra she learned from a book that regenerates her mana faster than normal.

Astara has been working as a Librarian in the Arcaneum for over a year. She reports directly to Urag gro-Shub and is known to perform her duties exceptionally. The mages of the College have nothing more to teach her, and it is well known that her magic is more powerful than even some of the masters. There are some in the college who are jealous of her family status and beauty. These people have been cruel to the young mage, but her positive attitude has overcome these obstacles. Recently, the other students have been skipping class to be near the beautiful librarian. Tolfdir and Urag have made an arrangement for Astara to continue her training outside the college so the other students can get back to their own studies. This is where the Dragonborn comes in. Who better to accompany the new hero than a walking library? Except Astara is so much more than that, and her secrets are buried deep. Journey with the librarian and earn her trust. Tell Me About This Place

This new feature is unique to Astara. Right now the feature is in the early stages, but Kiara and I plan to grow Tell Me About This Place with more locations, secrets, and lore. For now, try asking Astara to tell you about the place you are at. She may give you some great information, a warning, or even something that isn't accurate (because the book she read was wrong!).

Common Issues and Solutions


Can't Find Astara - You might have a mod that changes the Arcaneum so much that it makes her spawn impossible. User AddItemMenu mod to grab her summon spell and summon her instead.

Duplicate Dialogue Lines/Broken follower system - You have a mod conflict. This is a known issue with Young Lovers - Voice Overhaul. This is not a bug in Astara's mod.


Neck Seam - You have a saved game with Astara set at the incorrect weight. To fix it follow the below instructions:

1. Find Astara and stand in front of her.
2. Open the console (~)
3. Right-click on the NPC and you will see her ID appear in the middle of the screen. If you misclicked on another object step 4 won't work and try to right-click them again.
4. Type setnpcweight 75 (with the number being the new weight of the NPC - Astara's proper weight is 75) and hit enter.
5. Type disable and hit enter.
6. Type enable and hit enter.
7. Close the console (~) and you should be all set.

Existing Save game - If you have an existing game, replacing the old version with the new version should have no negative effect on your game.
