Amazing mod. Without enb I cant even tell the difference, with enb enabled the game looks like Valheim. Without this mod i have around 30 fps with enb, with this mod solid 60 fps. Performance galore
I checked all the comments, I don't want to climb here, I have little RAM equivalent to 4GB only, but my game is even if I use opening gates and doors and trips quickly out of it to play for about 5 hours direct.And have a texture of 1024 downloaded so what you mentioned should help but the quality should be horrible in the eye.
It is true, the specular map textures give depth to the game models, reducing them helps when loading everything in the game at the cost of less detail

Yes, performance increase is noticeable, but there is also a difference in deterioration of quality of all game objects. try the no characters version, I know there are many mods that use those textures, so I removed them from my mod in that version leaving everything else

Hi, I had a problem in Mzinchaleft, when I entered through one of the doors I had CTD, I previously had this problem in Nchuand-Zel (I don't remember if I already had your mode active at that point or not) and I thought it was due to Smoke and Dust Remover from xoninho, before re-login the account I deactivate your mod and the problem in Mzinchaleft was gone. seeing that the problem persists I am going to try deactivating your mod and activating it back the one from xoninho. I have no idea if it is for one or the other or both together. I'm sorry I can't be of more help
super weird, this mod doesn't touch any script, dialogue or anything in the game other than textures, so it's almost impossible for this to cause crashes, maybe the file was downloaded wrong and got corrupted, so that could be a reason. I read a long time ago that some dwemer ruins contain scripts that get stuck in your game and cause crashes, it happened to me years ago when out of nowhere I had cdt in that ruins.

I saw that someone to post but in ultra, and the difference is much less restrictive in effect, too bad for me... Good continuation.
Thank you for the pics, I recommend (if you know how) to unzip the BSA and delete the actors/characters folder from my mod or use a mod that modifies the characters, personally I have it like this
My first impression was that these Ultra-low Specular Maps could replaced the original _n.dds which would have had a high impact on Performance, unfortunately NOT
but it does, it replaces all the original textures "_n.dds" of the game and the dlcs, but it can be overwritten by other mods because it is packaged in a BSA
I try this, even unpacking the .bsa and replacing the _n.dds files directly, but the loss of quality in the Textures makes it impossible to use (I use High Textures)
I also tried without replacing the _n.dds but nothing was gained in Performance, So ...
Hey friend, do you have any ingame screenshots of the skyrim world with these textures in place? That would make for some awesome shots I see that one pic, but how about any ingame pics with the mod?
I don't have a way to do screenshots in game, but basically specular maps and normal maps give depth to objects, characters and everything that has texture in game, reducing them makes there less depth but makes it faster for the game load them, this makes them look flat or pixel but for example I don't get to see the detail of each object in the game so it goes completely unnoticed for me and I can play with high graphics :)
Aww... I wish I could see, this would've came in handy for me when I was playing on my old laptop that didnt have a graphics card XD I remember those days
