The location of the nif files for the Forsworn Gauntlets are:
Meshes/Clothes/ForswornArmor/ForswornGauntletsGO.nif (in the inventory and on the ground)
Meshes/Clothes/ForswornArmor/1stPersonForswornGauntlets_1.nif (when worn by a male character)
Meshes/Clothes/ForswornArmor/1stPersonForswornGauntletsF_1.nif (when worn by a female character)
If there are no files present the game will load the data from "Skyrim - Meshes.bsa" To replace the Gauntlets you will have to provide an anternaive nif file in the respective directories.
The mod I've uploaded is editing the entry of the gloves itself, telling the game to load the mesh from a different directory, the one from the Fur/Gilded Wristguards.
Many people have repeated issues with the Forsworn Gauntlets, such as disappearing, etc. There is no nif file that I can find anywhere that can be physically replaced with a less problematical one. Might this kind of solution work for that problem, by referencing some other suitable-looking alternative?
Would you be willing to post alternative esps for this mod that replace the gloves with either the Prisoner Cuffs or the Gilded Wristbands? I have several fully enchanted outfits which include gloves and the current substitution clashes greatly with them, appearance-wise. Thanks in advance!
