About this mod

: Enhance the perks, Dual Flurry, Elemental Protection, Ward Absorb and Sweep, through an equippable ring improving your combat specially when using Two-Handed weapons which by most is considered terrible, even on high difficulties.

Permissions and credits
: The close combat in Skyrim contains some logic that the community can't understand even for RPG standards. Taking Two-Handed as the best example, they swing slow, have terrible block, but do more damage, however, as you progress and max both One-Handed and Two-Handed, it turns more viable using One-Handed due to more flexibility and advantages you can get from them, even for damage matters.

This mod is, like many created before it, an attempt to balance Two and One Handed by the usage of a simple unique designed ring which will enhance the following perks:

Sweep: This Perk from Two-Handed Skill Tree allows Sideways Power Attacks hits all targets nearby. With the ring, it will extend to One-Handed weapons as well and allow any kind of attack use Sweep instead having to perform sideways power attacks for it.

Elemental Protection: This perk from the Block Skill Tree allow shields to block 50% elemental damage, but only works for shields. With the ring, the perk also will be extended to Two-Handed weapons while blocking.

Ward Absorb: Belonging to the Restoration Skill Tree, it allows wards to absorb magic attacks and converting them to magicka. With the ring equipped this will extend to Two-Handed too. You'll be able to cast a small weak ward (similar to Spellbreaker), while blocking ignoring up to 50 Pts of sources of magic\elemental damage.

Dual Flurry: From the One-Handed Skill Tree, it makes only your dual wielding faster. With the ring you'll no longer need to dual wield to receive the speed bonus and now Two-Handed will benefit from it too.


Also this mod includes a crafting bonus when you have the ring in your inventory. You can create replicas of it with different materials and gems. (See Pictures above). Plus if you happen to know the Transmute Mineral Ore spell, you can go to any forge and change the main ring's stone colour to an orange variant. (Also see Pictures above).

To obtain it go to The Midden on College Of Winterhold, find a hidden room around the place and solve a tiny puzzle to obtain it. The puzzle may be simple but requires you to think. If you can not solve it there's a clue that may help you a little but I suggest you to try it by yourself without the clue.


======= Notes =======


- The ring is equipped on a special slot (55) so you'll have to worry not with the current ring you have unless this ring or other item uses the same slot.

- You'll need the respective perks of each skill tree for the enhancements of the ring to take effect.

- The Extended Ward Absorb only works with Two-Handed. It will not work if you're blocking solely with a One-Handed weapon or shield because Spellbreaker already do that job without mentioning the ward spells.

- The Extended Elemental Protection also will only apply to Two-Handed, it will not work if you block with a One-Handed weapon, like in the original perk too.

- The Extended Dual Flurry does not apply to Daggers as they are already fast weapons.

- The speed percentage value you gain from Dual Flurry is the same for Two-Handed weapons.


======= Installing =======


- Before anything, if someone happens to have my previous mod, The Sweep Mastery And Two Handed Improvements, this one should be uninstalled before installing the other as they probably will conflict. However you can still leave both but I do not recommend. Simply sell all the rings of The Sweep Mastery And Two Handed Improvements to a merchant, go to any place, except The Midden or College Of Winterhold, wait 30 in game days, save your game and exit. After uninstalling The Sweep Mastery And Two Handed Improvements, return to your game and create a new save. This way it's less likely that problems in your game will occur.

- Now before installing The Weapon Mastery Relic, make sure to create a backup save file in case you didn't like the mod afterwards.

- Open the zip file and inside you'll find a Data folder.

- Drag and Drop that folder to where your Skyrim is installed, where TESV.exe is located.

- Go to your game's launcher and enable it.

- Now you're good to go.

- Avoid uninstalling this and any other mod in mid playthroughs or something in your game may not work as intended. Use the backup save recommended.



======= Super Fast F.A.Q =======


- Don't ask me for Special and Anniversary Editions!!!

- Don't ask me for patches!

- SKSE and Cobb Bug Fixes are essential, specially the latter one due to it fixes some crucial Vanilla Game Engine that even Special Edition carried over. Enchantments conditions is one and this mod's enchantments are dependent of these conditions to work properly as well many other enchantments and perks of Vanilla Game.

- This mod edits only one vanilla placed object in The Midden and a Portal Marker to accommodate the new room added to appear properly. Nothing else was edited or deleted.

- This mod does not use any extra scripts, only scripts already offered by Vanilla.

- The stone in the Weapon Mastery Ring and its variant is called Green Goldstone and Goldstone respectively with the body of the ring made of wood. I was quite exhausted in every game featuring the same gems and metals always so I decided to pick something different and uncommon.

- The Weapon Mastery Ring uses the slot 55 and appear on the left Middle Finger while the replicas are equippable on the default ring slot (36) and appear on the left Pinky finger. It's less likely that these rings will clip with other modded rings since these fingers are little used for other mods.

- Despite using the slot 55, the Weapon Mastery Ring Will not appear in 1st person due to the slot chosen and the in game limitations. I could easily circumvent this by setting it to slot 61 to appear in 1st person, for example, but, this slot is used for Dragon Aspect Shout which forces the ring to be unequipped when used. Other slots showed some complications so I decided to leave on slot 55.
