    I completely agree. Quote: "Its appearance is loosely based on the Greek hoplite helmet; particularly the Corinthian-pattern helmet, with a molded face mask. The design of the face depends on the gender of the wearer." (https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Dwarven_Helmet_(Skyrim)).
    Why the creators made such a mouth at all is not clear.

      Looks like a mix of Greek and Sumerian. Dwarven clothes, beard styles etc. seems to be inspired much by Sumerians.

    Interestingly, the ancient Greeks did not have a mouth in the helmet at all.
