Soon i will give the mod a try and check if it causes CTDS. I think it is due to incompatibility with other mods. In order to check ctds check your load order first. I will give it a try with no other mods and see what happens. The author posted this on march 2023. I didn´t saw it. They could potentially be overwriting changes I make depending on how they go about making the voicepack. May not be the cause of an issue but is something to keep in mind."
Disabling become high of skyrim mod, and starting a new game seems to fix the issue Edit: I also already killed vex before installing this mod, that could also be the cause.
Needs more work. I just played throught your nice mod and found that I can't complete the part wher you are in the twilight seplecur when you talk with Nocturnal, she states (begone with you) then the game crashes, Need a fix!!!!!!
I coc'd my way out , but that left the quest to speak with Nocturnal active . Does she send you some place specific that causes the crash ? Does the quest continue after that point ? Or do we just forget that Nocturnal exists and go about our way ?
I find coc riverwood never gives me any problem , I think the developers made it that way because qasmoke room is underneath of Riverwood . I have had problems with other locations though .
good asf, the mod is mostly immersive but it could be better but i dont think its right to expect a lot from modders 8.5/10 would recommend this if anyone is looking for a "destroy the thieves guild" mod.
one thing that ruined the immersion was the fact thieves guild automatically knows i am after their a$$ as soon as i accept the quest which ruins immersion imo
Killing off non-essential Thieves could be used to make Quest Actors surrender, allowing them to be accessed for other Questlines from Jail [ie, Maven and Sibi next to each and Vex below for the Appraiser Quest]. The originals could be transported to coc Corpse Room while replacements altered script could be found in Jail. The Nighting Gale quest should be optional choice, otherwise, just an abandoned thief dungeon and a treasure stashes with rocks blocking the final section. The other Quest dungeons could just be open treasure stash dungeons. If you like, the Player could do a Bal Molagmer type quest to restore stolen items to their rightful owners.
My solution is just to use FISS in CK to uncheck Essential and set Brynolf to Frenzy/Foolhardy. I changed all locks to work with the Secret Entrance Key.
let's see if i understood correctly. this is a port from SSE right? is this a better mod than the old destroy the thieves guild by bruce, are they the same mods or different somehow? thanks and 'll try to play this soon
They are two diffrent mods! They do the same thing in different ways. FOR ME the one from bruce was old and buggy, it was also incompatible with imperial questlines. That part doesn't bother me because i support the stormcloaks.

Hello LucioMalyn So this is the storm cloak version , you posted about on sse ? (just asking ) Its not connected to war quest for siding with the stormcloaks is it , trying to work out the connection difference is ? Aside from that everything else runs the same as the sse version ?

Hello, thanks for this, I always reflect my role-gameplay in my real morality and I really couldn't hate more the black biar and their bootlickers from the thieves guild.
If you could make that mod that removes maven as a jarl work for LE it would be an existential must for my skyrim.
Thank you for real for porting this and sharing it with the community to improve the diversity of our skyrim LE, because there are still a lot of closed-minded people who don't understand that there are a lot of people who can't play Skyrim SE for some reason.
:) Thanks for this. I've always disliked going to Riften because of those criminals and their effect on the honest ones; I got a sickening feeling just being there. I'll add this, do what I do then try to create a bunch of other more Skyrim (Morally grey but basically good) type people to fill the spaces town wise.
thieves guild in oblivion were more on the grayer side of the spectrum and are actually like-able. since some of their members acts like robin hood. they also don't recruit you by force.
while skyrim's thieves guild are nothing more than just a bunch of thugs of the blackbriar family, not only they forcibly recruit you. by blackmailing someone one of the former nightingale of their guild wants you to offer your soul to their god, because she fucked up.
all in all the thieves guild in skyrim deserves to get utterly wiped out along with the black briars.
