A little update: i came across AndrealphusVIII "Moving Ships Resource" mod and it has got a patch for Ships on the Horizon to enable ships movement. It should not contain .hkx animation and just a mesh and an esp, hopefully i should be able to backport the mod and the patch as well. If i do i will update the description of this page to point to the patch.
Interesting idea, as suggested cubbyman1, it would be interesting to some kind of Ship random spawn, and the Ships are Accessible but empty, so their charm is lost maybe with some pirates on board it would be more interesting
I didn't actually try to reach it lol, just used "tfc" command to give a quick look at it. xD Adding people on it could be doable i guess, especially since at the current state the ships don't move.
However i think i'll leave the original author work on it first, as i have to learn more about the CK to successfully try to implement a solution myself. Pheraps he will update the mod and i'll just backport the update. I'd rather work on other small projects, especially since in these days i'm not doing very well with health and other duties.

oh i see, so they are just static objects in the distance, it's still kind of cool, i like this idea, it makes the sea look like it's used somewhat.
what would really be cool, is if you can make them move like they change position either in real time or maybe every time you use a load screen that they randomize their positions in the sea, making them appear as if they moved, if that's at all possible i mean.
That's a good idea, i think it is probably doable in the CK by adding a script which loads an event OnCellLoad or similar which sets the position of the ship between a set of different values. Or maybe add an animation to the object.
I'm not sure i can do that yet, since my knowledge in the CK is very limited, and i just ported the mod in xEdit. Users have posted a very similar topic in the original mod SSE posts page and some of them mentioned a couple of possible workaround or methods to achieve this.
The mod is fairly new so i suppose the original author can still work on it. If he won't do it then i think i can give it a try, however i have to learn more about the CK and i'd prefer moving onto other projects in the meantime.
