    Hey your mod causes a complete delete of any initial dialogue lines for NPC's. So like everyone you start talking to doesn't say anything when dialogue is activated. This goes for all NPC in game. Just letting you know..

      I confirm this, had the same problem.
      Too bad I didn't hear M'Aiq the Liar quotes, he is probably disappeared now.
      Also I didn't hear the Giant's warnings and they attacked

    taking the dagger doesn't update the quest, rashiik can become a follower regardless of the quest being stuck at the first stage. latest skyrim + DG.

    I figured out how to get him to ride, but it requires a reference so I'll need to do a 'moveto' function. My problem now is figuring out how to do the 'moveto' function as a spell. Anyhow, if all goes well, I'll have the new update soon with a mount for Ra'shiik and some redefined scripts which should fix the dialogue problems.

    I think you can create a holding cell and use the 'moveto' function. I'm not any good with scripts tho, so if you have something that will actually delete it it should be ok. Don't be afraid to ask around on the forums. The community here is great when it comes to that.
    You know, I was thinking. There are already mods that let your follow use horses. You could either learn from one of them, or incorporate it into your mod, or finally make it a required mod if they want Ra'shiik to ride.
    No sense of working harder than you have to on something someone else has already done eh?

    The summon I use does work with a placeatme function, the only other one I know is placeactoratme. I do have a unload script for it though so it will self delete when it hasn't been ridden within a few seconds time so unless you manage to spam cast the spell it shouldn't cause a problem. I may be wrong on that though, in which case I'll try to figure something out, but I don't know another way to do it at the moment.

    I'm not sure how you'll do your summons, just please don't use the "Placeatme" function. It'll make copies of the item - which doesn't sound bad, but if you just keep making copies it'll cause saved game instability. There's a safe way to do it, I'm not 100% sure how to do it, I just know there's already bugs in the game that can lead to saved games being corrupted so we don't need anymore! lol
    Anyways, I know there's more info on how to do a summons without worries, so I'm sure you'll come up with something great. I'm looking forward to a companion that will stick with me through the whole game (I still haven't beaten the main quest) and I hope Ra'shiik is it =)
    Edit: ps, I have no idea about your modding experience with bethesda games - I just worry about my game files whenever I hear about summons because I've already lost a saved file I had over 125 hours into. This shouldn't be taken personally XD

    Already made some changes which should fix those problems, just waiting to get the summon/mount horse working. I have it so Ra'shiik will summon a horse if you get on one, just need to figure out how to make him summon it faster and then mount it to follow, then dismount when you dismount. Then I'll post my new update

    Did you know that if you only download half the update, Skyrim won't run? yeah... happened to me.
    Anyway, it's fixed and everything is updated!
    So, I found a few things, nothing too major. well maybe 1 major-ish thing.
    Some of the dialogue shows when it shouldn't be available. Ex- "I don't need your help anymore" will show even if he's not following you. You can also ask him to hold things without him being a follower. This really isn't a big deal, but I'd thought I'd mention it.
    If you find his dagger before talking to him, he will give you the quest but for me there was no option to complete the quest after.
    The setstage command worked, but you have the stage ID wrong. In my mod list, it's the 68th mod that loads. So my command was player.setstage 680012c6 40. So for others having an issue it'll be player.setstage xx0012c6 40. Where the xx is just plug in the number as it shows in your load list. You can also type in the console "help rashiik" without the quotes and the quests will pop up. The first 2 numbers will show up there for you.
    I'd also suggest making him Essential. No one likes to see their followers die. Protected would work- then only the player could kill him. I don't care for it because as a mage AoE spells will take out most companions on accident lol
    All in all good stuff. Looking forward to some updates =)

    I unpacked your mod, and the voice was well worth the wait! Very Khajiit-ish! Well done on that, not everyone can do voiceovers. I myself can only do the little kid type voices lol.
    I like your update ideas and I hope you stick with it. We need more developed companions for skyrim.
    I'm having issues with the patch but once I get it sorted out, I'll be sure to grab Rashiik and try my best to break him. Just for the soul purpose of testing, of course!
