hey, great mod! I am just a bit surprised how the Deadly Reflex mod in Oblivion had far more features and was more ruthless, vicious, had more attack options, had excellent bloody knife throws..etc but not Skyrim. I guess the engine has many limitatiions perhaps? I am noob in modding.
I really don't understand mod development, but I miss two things in skyrim combat:
1 more animations when swinging weapons, I mean, not like those mods that remake combats, but a mod that allows more swinging for one and two hand weapons, those that swing left and right in the vanilla game
2 a decent hitbox for melee attacks, in vanila the weapons have twice the range they should, that's sad kkkkk.
Anyway, these are some mod ideas, I wish someone would create them (sorry for bad english)
Okay! That's pretty cool! I have now watched your video (Here) and already love this mod. Going to install it next playthrough. Endorsed, and thank you for the extra information as well as your work creating it, kukekokaki2nd. - If you posted images/screenshots of your mod in action, I bet even more people would understand what it is and want to try it too. (Presentation matters!)
Checks for what kind of power attack youre executing(side right/left or back). Checks if you have a valid target under crosshair(not essential, not dead, not a child, not in a killmove already, is an npc). Rolls some stats for you and the potential target vs a random number(one/twohanded skill, target hp, your level vs target level). If it succeeds - you chop someone's head off. If it doesnt - its just a regular power attack with a slowmo.
I had trouble trying to log in to Nexus before too. I tried putting my Email in place of my name, and it worked. - I also would like to see moar information about this mod, even though I am well aware what it is based on (Oblivion Combat Mod). Here's a free translation service if you need it to help explain the details: https://www.deepl.com/translator * Also also, I hear the name "Deadly Reflex" and know how unstable the original was. I'm watching an oblivion Let's Play right now as I type this lol. It's referenced in the series, but not installed for the fact it is too buggy (the Original Mod). If your version for skyrim works perfectly, I really want to try it out. I hope you add more information later.
It seems that the approach is different from the existing game system, but there is too little explanation about it. I know roughly what it feels like after watching the video, but it is not easy to add this mod to Skyrim, where hundreds of other mods are already installed as of 2022 without any explanation on how it is implemented. There is no explanation as to whether it is a simple modification of the execution scene, whether it was made independently by excluding the vanilla execution system, or whether the execution scene system is not used and the head is cut in real time. In addition, since the video only has a first-person screen, it is not known whether the mod works in third-person or not, and it is not known whether it applies to all weapons. I can't speak English either. However, since there is such a thing as Google Translate, if you want to explain it, you can do it.
