Does Wander affect enemy's "sight" or detection range? I tested RAID the other day, didn't like it, uninstalled RAID and came back to Wander... And after that, even remade 10+ new games because I've been testing mods. Finally I'm playing for real now and enemies sometimes are blind until they run into me in the dark. Is this normal?
Maybe. In my mods build with Wander and RAID Lite they still notice me in the dark (if they come for 30 feet distance) at low level of sneak skill. If you want really hardcore detection distance you can try Search and Destroy. With this mod bandits in whole camp (or some part of dungeon) will react on your appearance.
P.S. value of Sunlight from Imaginator have impact on RAID detection, i run it with -10.
This mod works greatly with fog from Vivid Clouds and Fogs. If you want to install them together you should make patch via Tes5Edit - copy conflicting weather records from Wander and copy "NNAM - Visual Effect" from Vivid Clouds mod to patch records.
P.S. Do not install clouds from Vivid Clouds and Fogs. Wander already has his own dynamic clouds.
This mod failed to install with NMM (I know, I know, it's old). I imagine it's an incompatibility with the FOMOD which happense more and more these days. I don't know enough about FOMODs to see where the problem is.
Why yes, I am using an old version of NMM. I didn't know there were community versions! When it was deprecated, I didn't want to go over to MO or Vortex.
Also, manual installation seems to have worked fine. Wander looks great. I really like the distance fogging, something that most weather mods reduce excessively.
On the other hand, that ol' grey-green vanilla colour is back, and I didn't miss that so much... but overall, really nice!
Hi friend, glad that you got it working. I suggest at least updating to the newest version of NMM from github or if you want then you can try Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 as they will save you a lot of hassles with their virtual installation and better data folder management, Good Luck .
This is perhaps not ideal to ask here, but I'm gonna ask anyway... There is another weather mod that I have on my watchlist, called RAID Weathers. What is the difference between this mod and RAID Weathers? Does anyone know? I use kryptopyr's Stealth Skills Rebalanced, and I don't know if Wanderlust works better with it or RAID Weathers. Stealth Skills Rebalanced is almost essential in my games as it reworks lockpicking and pickpocket etc...
Btw I have installed Wander right now, and have been testing it. I quite love it, to be fair. :)
RAID weathers is not directly compatible with Wander as both weather mods do the same thing but with different approach. As you can see from RAID's modpage it is designed with stealth and combat detection in mind so it is bit complex in that regard and will actually affect gameplay and possibly Thieves guild missions too . It is possible that Stealth Skills Rebalanced mod may have some sort of minor in-game conflict with Raid when it comes to mechanics like crouching and stealing etc. But I don't think there will be anything gamebreaking. As for the visuals both are awesome tbh, ofc it all comes down to user's personal preference. Please give both a try and and all credits to their wonderful mod authors, happy gaming !
Haven't heard of this mod. A good option for the vanilla plus style of play. For me, there is only one minus in it, it does not support rain and snow changes from other mods. I hate the way vanilla rain and snow look. I always play with tarll's Vanilla Rain and Snow Improvement mod. But this mod, due to the fact that it has its own weather settings that are different from the vanilla game, simply does not see the change in rain and snow from the tarll mod. =((
Hey friend sorry for the late reply. This mod adds a lot of new weathers to the game. As for compatibility with snow mods it might work with a patch, if I am successful in making a patch then I will let you know :) !
Ok.I still decided to stay on this weather mod for now.It is closer to the cold climate of Skyrim, which it should be.I only use the basic Wander-Lite version and AOC patch. Thanks for porting this mod to LE.=)
