So, does this fix the issue where soldiers become hostile to you if you heal them? Been having the same problem with Vigilants too. Is that even part of the vanilla game or one of my mods? I have no magic or perk mods installed just so we know.
Okay, I have one complaint about this: its sorta weird having guards yell out how much they hate the opposing faction all the time. Why would they be doing that while they're on guard duty, or when some other npc (such as Ulfric) is talking? I thought this was a mod only affecting soldiers, not the guards in seemingly every city.
On a side note, while looking through the ESP for the 'no guard idles' patch, I found one of the records has both the 'is not a guard' and 'is not in interior' condition twice, specifically record formid 3000808, the one that begins with 'Eyes open. Danger could be any...'.
So, I have no idea whether it's this mod or not, but I recently installed your mod for a new playthrough and this is the first time I've come across this: a wolf taunted me, calling me a filthy beast (it is possible it was saying that to the nearby skeever, actually). Could that be something with this mod, or maybe with the bandits version (although I've been using that one for a while and I've never seen this happen before)? If it's not this mod, that's fine, and it's not really a problem, I just thought it was pretty odd and figured I'd mention it here in case this mod is the culprit.
It shouldn't, unless they have one of the normal voicetypes (like: MaleNord) lol!
I personally haven't seen this issue yet and I've been playing for almost 40 hours now with the mod, but I'll keep an eye out for any talkative wolves haha
So, I know it's been a while, but I think I actually found the source of this issue. It's definitely been happening periodically, and it's not just wolves. Just about anyone or anything will sometimes say "Die, you filthy beast!"
The source appears to be that the condition under "CivilWarLinesExpansion_ATTACK", for the third instance of "Die, you filthy beast!", checks whether it's the voice type "MaleSoldier", but then the condition uses "OR" rather than "AND", so it's either voice type "MaleSoldier" or it does a 25% check to see if the subject makes the taunt. I can easily fix it on my end, but I'm surprised no one else is reporting it. It happens relatively often for me when anyone or anything is fighting either an animal or a creature of some kind (I'd say it happens maybe about a quarter of the time? :P)
EDIT: Ever since making the above change (i.e., changing "OR" to "AND"), I haven't run into the issue, so I believe this was the cause of the issue.
...noooo. I was trying to cut down on my load order, as I am using a gaming Laptop and... Ok, long story short: instant download, will endorse later. Thank you!
I love the extra lines provided while doing the civil war quests. I even endorse this. However, after the war, even 6 months game time. The guards keep talking like the war is still going on. The war is over! UGH. That is my only complaint
Good evening. I'm very interested in this mod (already downloaded Bandits and Thalmor lines), but I see there's quite a gap between the updates in LE version and SSE version, and there are even bug fixes for SSE that haven't been applied to this one yet (regarding Stormcloak soldier behaviour and some animais using subtitles of voice lines, as posted in the SSE version Bug Report section). Any idea on when you might update it?
JaySerpa, thank you so much for this and the other mods you've made. It can't fix the crap in the current "real" world but it makes Skyrim more awesome, which helps keep me going. Awesomeness dude!!!! Kudos in the highest.
I totally also want to thank you very much for your mods! They make Skyrim next gen, and are very much appreciated :) I just wish that they ALL were on LE too :(
Well, I went to a Stormcloak camp wearing ordinary clothes (not armor) and one of the soldiers threatened me for wearing Imperial armor. Then, after a few lines, she told me to keep an eye for Stormcloak spies. Then, after making her talk a few more times, she said Stormcloaks can come at any time and they must be careful (Can't remember the exact words right now.).
Perhaps I can assume some soldiers are suffering from PTSD and ignore the nonsensical phrases they utter from time to time. This can easily be a feature, instead of a bug and/or inconsistency, right? Not to mention that this is still not as hilarious as a vanilla bandit asking me if I need something right after killing me :D
Anyway, jokes aside, the mod seems to contain some minor problems. Nonetheless, an awesome mod and a must have for me from now on. Just posting this to let you and other people know. Would be glad if they are fixed of course. Thanks for the awesome work you've done with this and the "Bandit Lines Expansion" both. Makes Skyrim much more alive without overburdening the game engine with scripts etc.
