Thanks a lot for 1000+ endorsements guys! I still hope to update this some day when I start playing Skyrim more seriously again But it's awesome nonetheless to see that it's still doing good around here despite all the new texture-packs that pops up. Also thanks to the guys behind STEP for still recommending it as a "core"-mod in their excellent guide

This is AMAZING! I love this! A perfect amount of detail while still managing to keep it extremely lore-friendly. Thank you so much for this, endorsed! =)

Does this work with Skyrim Special Edition? Will it be ported?

Hello mate, sorry for late reply. Yes, all my textures are saved in proper DXT-format that is supported in SE, and I've used it myself for about 40 hours of playtime with no issues.

No porting is needed, so I'm not really planning on uploading it again in the SE-section. It's so outdated anyway compared to newer similar texture-packs that I wouldn't want to release it again without a complete rework and minor optimizing for ENB's, and unfortunately I don't really have the time for that amount of work right now

I'm using the noble pieces from this mod. I think they add the best blend of quality, while also keeping the vanilla style (which I prefer). Thanks so much.

Y'know there's a problem with these kinda mods, if I can say so myself...
You walk in a cold, barren, Godforsaken, dusty tomb or somesuch, some bandits decided to tote their wives' cabinets and rugs in and set up shop, after killing the SOB's you look the room over and can't help but find these things impeccably clean, they look totally detached from their environment, like this drunkard rapist bandit's been getting out his feather duster every night and cleaning every crack, spic and span...

I don't know I guess many of y'all modders start out right but you just keep going and you eventually go too far.

Still God bless you much of this work is fine in many ways.. it's just too clean for my eyes.

I'm not sure exactly what textures you're referring to here. I'm very picky about adding scratches, dirt, rust, stains or whatever feels logical to my textures, all made by hand in order to get the result I want. The slight exception in this pack though is the middle- and noble-class furnitures, which at least I personally feel should be fairly well treated and good looking. Also the noble-class bed has clean sheets for a rich owner, where I see no sense in leaving disgusting stains and crap all over it as in vanilla

But I see what you mean, as I've felt it being out of place numerous times as well. I would however rather blame that on Bethesda or whoever created the area in question. The sets of furniture and overall clutter is quite limited and often placed in wrong/odd locations. I often find fine furniture in filthy caves or even outside in harsh weather conditions, which is just fail by the level-designer. Middle- and Noble-furnitures should have a second set available in the game where they have textures more fitting to ruined and dirty environments, instead of the fine homes they otherwise belong in.
If I did the opposite then you would see disgusting furnitures in places like castles and guild-halls, which would be even more out of place imo

But oh well, as with all mods it's all a matter of taste. Maybe you want all of your Skyrim to be dirty and raw looking, even the nobles. Then this might not be the perfect mod for you Thanks for the appreciation nonetheless!

Also, as I mention in the description, different types of ENB's makes the textures look completely different. Especially if you're using one that intensifies colors. When I made these textures years ago, they weren't actually tuned for ENB at all, as I used RCRN at that time. Today I'd say these textures look best with cold and bleached ENB's, as they wont make the colors distract you from the details I put so many hours into making I recommend checking out Unreal Cinema ENB.

So if I want all your texture but also the barrel of SMIM.
Do I need to install both main file and patch?

Sorry for late reply. If you want to keep specific textures from SMIM you'll have to add them manually after installing my SMIM-patch. Not much I can do about that to make it simpler. But in this case I actually don't think my barrel-texture is used on the SMIM-model at all. Not 100% sure as SMIM has updated a lot since this mod, but I haven't noticed it in my own install so you should be good.
