I’m not an aspiring youtuber trying to gain subs. This isn’t a plug or an ad. The fact is that I am not a healthy person, and I have a problem that I’m trying desperately to solve. I’m actually fighting for my life, really. But no, this isn’t charity, either. All I’m trying to do is start a conversation and make people think. Just listen to the video, and you’ll understand everything.
To the Nexus staff, I know how this looks, but please give me a chance. I realize that there is a rule against irrelevant and/or advertising forum posts or comments. I beg of you to be lenient and hear me out. I have been in a desperate battle for my life and sanity for a very long time, and no matter how hard I fight, things only get worse, and no one listens or cares. Every time I reach out for help, I am met with cold shoulders, deaf ears, and immediate banning. I realize that this is not the appropriate place for this. Trust me, I’m not blind to that, but I’ve tried the appropriate places and channels for years, and nothing works. Please don’t just tell me to go to Better Help. That’s not what I need. I need this message to be heard, and believe it or not, this is truly the best and only place that might help me spread this message. My mods are the only things I have ever posted online that have gotten any views or attention. It’s the only thing I’ve ever had any amount of success with. I’m trying this because I’m desperate and it’s a last ditch effort.
However, despite all that, I still wouldn’t ever dare use this platform for such a purpose if I wasn’t a serious mod author. I would never make an account with an ulterior agenda, and I would never dream of posting some bogus, garbage mod just for the purpose of linking this video. That wouldn’t help, anyway, as no one would look at a garbage mod. I am indeed a serious author. I am very passionate about Skyrim modding. In fact, it’s really the only thing keeping me going at the moment. One look at any of my mods should make it abundantly obvious that I am a serious author with a commitment to quality. I would never, ever attempt to commandeer this platform for irrelevant, inappropriate purposes. I make legitimate, quality Skyrim mods that I am proud of. I am taking a great risk to ask this small favor of the community because I am truly desperate, and out of options. I’m terrified to post this, but the feeling of despair and hopelessness of not trying is worse. Please—this place and my mods are everything to me; please allow me to stay. Please, I beg of you, be lenient, give me a chance, and don’t take away the only thing that gives my life purpose anymore. Please, at least do what no one else has been willing to do—listen to the video. Consider my words before taking disciplinary action. Just give me that much.

I was getting conflicting skin textures. Head, Hands and feet would be black and the body white.
What solved this for me was
- Delete the xml shortcut in the Nif files and save the file. - Go into Creation kit or Tes5edit and edit the esp file for Halter Dress. - Edit the ArmorAddon. This had bodypart 52 marked. Instead I chose Body, Forearms and Calves like vanilla clothes are set up.
I still use the HDT Havok Object myself. Not sure if this was the cause of the black face, hands and feet. Never seen it before though.
Yeah... idk, that's weird. The hands, feet, and head should have nothing to do with the dress nif. I mean, I'm sure I could figure it out if I actually had your setup in front of me so I could inspect all of it. But yeah, idk. Well, anyway, as long as you finally got it working, then it doesn't really matter.
As far as the slot setup, I chose to mark slot 52 in addition to 32 body because 52 is the pelvis secondary auxiliary slot which is typically used by the modding community for underwear. The dress has its own matching panties, so my thinking was that the outfit should occupy slot 52 as well so that it would replace any equipped underwear. That way the player wouldn't accidentally be wearing double underwear.
But I'll ya, getting nifs and textures to all play nicely is an absolute b**ch. I mean, it's so horrendous. You'd think that animations would be harder, but nope. Animations are a lot of hard work to actually create, but getting them to play nicely and cooperate in-game is easy. Every animation I've ever made works as expected, first try. But meshes and textures are the worst.
This is my experience every time I try to get meshes and textures to work:
Yes. It has all the weighting, and uses the default "hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml" file path. If you use something different, you may need to open the nifs in Nifskope and change the xml file path to whatever yours is.

I have made many animations myself. Just look up LL. Idles are a pain to make, but two actor animations are pretty easy.
I made so many body conversions in my time with Skyrim that meshes and textures come pretty easy for me.
That's why when I had tried everything else I know it's a fault with the esp file. Just got to remember those backups just in case.
Anyway amazing dress that's just so hot, as You can see from my previews. A good complement to the Heatwave Dress from way back.
one question tho, is it HDT?
