I know it's a little late but you can fix it yourself.
Open the creation kit and when it finishes loading, click "File" -> "Data". In the window that opens, double-click the mod, click "Set as active file," and then click "OK."
It will take a while to load and will throw numerous errors. You can ignore them. When it finishes loading, simply click “File” -> “Save” and close CK. Your ESP is now saved in model 44.
Do that and it's theoretically ready. These days I will test it and update the message.

How to port (almost) any Oldrim mod to Skyrim SE *(For Dummies)* : r/skyrimmods (reddit.com)

Oh I'm going to break this to oblivion and back.
Greatness. Thanks for making this mod.
Together with this mod [{x}] I'm going to be unstoppable.

    EDIT:
One "glitch" I encountered was that if I give a follower/NPC an item enchanted with the absorb magicka effect they turn a luminescent purple/blue color which somewhat resembles the purple "missing texture" color. It's only an effect though.
Initially it made me think I messed up while recently editing .nif files.
I laughed after I realized what it actually was.
Still it would be nice if they (like the player) had no visual effect when wearing the enchantment.
Regardless I absolutely endorse this very immersive mod. Bethesda keeps removing fun features like this spell/enchantment, (you can kind of get it under the alteration perk tree, but not really) and that makes me wonder what will be left in the next TES (VI). I worry.

    EDIT NOTE 2:
While wearing this enchantment you cannot cast some spells which attach to your character externally. Mostly conjuration summon magic, but as I see it this is immersive and gives balance to the mod. It makes sense that the absorb magic enchantment would negate any spell which necessitates binding to the caster.

*Also It's easy for me to remedy since I am making 91% absorb magic items per enchantment and only need one item to achieve >100% absorb magic with the alteration tree's 30% perk.
Name an item "_blah-blah" and it will be at the top of the list as long as _ (underscore) is attached to the front of the name. So it's easy to toss it on/off in between casting if you want to take advantage.

Never tested it with followers, but since I never touched the visual aspect of it, it should basically have the same "visual cue" as any random armor-enchantment (IE, none). So my guess is that it's either something inherent in the game specifically for this (strange, because I've seen the magic-absorb effect activate on normal-looking NPCs before), or it's something that you've installed.

As for absorbing friendly spells, that's an inherent game-flaw. I'm pretty sure that USKP fixes it though. (There might be another mod out there that also does it, but you'll probably have to dig for it.)

As for equipping/unequipping items, you can literally just put them on hotkey, no special name required. Just favorite the item, and then put a number next to it, and voila. (Though yes, this strategy is why I renamed a certain other enchantment "AA xxx" so that I'd be able to enchant-grind lots of them without having to look for it.)

I like the fact it absorbs spells of all types, even SIGE [Editor] spells lol. It's very immersive, and should be expected since the Atronach Perk does the same thing only at a fixed 30% when fully unlocked.
It's easy to forget this though, so I typed it out for others to know since it's odd and easy to forget knowledge.

I would rather rename an item I usually wear and have it at the top of the menu list with _ than assign it to favorites for myself.
I use favorites for spells and other things I use more frequently and it's already getting full, but hey same effect either way. An easy way to quickly add/remove whatever's clever :)
We all have our own ways after all.

I have no mod that would highlight one spell effect and add colored light.
It might be it's just inherent to the effect like you said *BUT I am determined to change it until it's not visible.
Everything is blue except the hair.

Funny thing is in the Magic Effect Editor ID list, under your specific effect (EnchAbsorbMagic) there's another vanilla effect called EnchAbsorbMagickaFFContact, and that vanilla effect fits the bill as a potential culprit since it has attached to it under `Enchant Shader` an effect called EnchBlueFXShader.
There are also two other blue effects under `Projectile` and `Impact Data Set`, but those should not matter. Even so I'm going to try changing them to NONE as well as unticking `FX Persist` under the "Flags" check-boxes.

Saving the changes to your mod before I post this. Somehow I doubt that will fix it since it's in another category for another spell, but maybe...

      Ha! Eureka!
It was EnchAbsorbMagickaFFContact, *but I am not exactly sure what change resolved the issue.
I was not as thorough as I should have been during my testing of the enchantment after the changes were made. Trying multiple subjects for every change one by one would have been more wise. Regardless it's fixed.

It had to be `FX Persist` connected to EnchAbsorbMagickaFFContact under `Flags` since logically that is the only option that makes sense.

All other NPCs I tested the enchanted items on after I made the changes had no blue glowing effect, even after loading them into different cells. So now I can have followers who appear normal but are completely immune to magic :)
I realize this may change the effects of any spell which uses `Absorb Magicka` as well, but that is very fine by me. They're no longer persistently glowing, and that's what matters.

Also while I was in CK I boosted the enchantment from 20 to 23 so I can make items which have magicka absorption greater than 100 using only one item (in relationship to my enchantment level).

Thank you for this mod, Racke7. I love it.
      LATE-EDIT: Removed *some superfluous information.
