not much of a barracks if its only got the single double bed.

it needs a follower quarters with 10-20 beds and a childs quarters with 6 beds compatable with multiple adoption then i can say its a barracks (or just the follower quarters)

Well, it's been more than two to three months. The good news is that those of you (To my extreme excitement!) that still use my mod, can see an update in the near future!

As I'm sure this note most likely will not be seen until after I update the file I just want to say thank you all again for the kind words. I'll be making some improvements to 2.0 and trying to learn how to properly implement trophy mounts for the trophy room that I will be designing.

Also, the "barracks" portion will be making a return. The shrine room however is somewhat of my crown jewel and will remain so expect the see the barracks elsewhere in the home.

This is such a good mod. I love the lack of clutter. Of course there are things I would change, but I won't bore you with them. I haven't played without this mod for around 5 playthroughs.

I like the sparse decorating, if I want things on the surfaces I could put them there, special things that mean something to me, like the first dragon scales I gathered would be a great trophy to sit on a table or a bar. However, I agree with previous posters, this is called a barracks and it's navmeshed so we can store companions in it. However, there is no actually barracks room, which is basically a row of beds and possibly night stands anywhere in the place. Personally, if it were up to me, I'd consolidate the shrines and put them on a shelf or two in the bedroom and use the huge shrine room with graves and replace them with beds for the living.

Otherwise it's holding up great. I added General Storage to it which is really amazing and helpful, and I'm slowly testing it to see how many companions I can fit into it without a huge fps hit or ctd from trying to load too many at once. So far I'm up to four, and they walk around and keep busy really wonderfully, which I love. Great navmeshing, that's for sure!

It's probably been a while since any progress has been made on this mod, but I like the idea. A large-ish home that isn't full of crap and clutter.

If I make a recommendation: Keeping the clutter down is an excellent idea, but it's still a bite bare inside. Perhaps a few decorations or some wall shelves? Something to cover some of the excessively bare walls, like tapestries or a painting here and there.

And I'd like to second forcedmembership's desire to see this "barrack" turn into one. An actual barracks area, with beds and a few amenities for followers would be nice. A place perhaps where you could house soldiers of your chosen Civil War faction, as well? Just a thought...

    Great mod!

In a place with the word "Barracks" in it's name I'd love to see a room of beds for followers! I use a large amount of followers with the UFO mod and would love to see a house that could accommodate a large group.

I hope your life is going well for you! Keep enjoying modding and doing what you do!

I love the changes since the last time I was here...

However, When I updated to Skyrim 1.6 all house mods cause crashes on main load screen.

I have tested extensively, even on a new game, removing all other house mods, Ect. When I remove all house mods, It loads fine. I hope in the comming months a fix can be found... I miss this mod.

Thank you both for the feedback. I'm sorry to hear you guys had issues at all.

I've been taking a break from gaming over-all as I'm making some positive changes in my life. I may eventually pick the mod back up. The empty cabinet in the thanes room is supposed to go to a trophy room, but I haven't built it yet.

I'll check back periodically to see what's up. For now, I wouldn't expect an update for at least 2-3 months.

I never did upgrade to 2.0, as I was pretty happy with the old (accept for the damn vanilla hole near the entrance, lol).

I've been running into crash issues like Rono has, mostly entering and exiting the Barracks for me. So I moved all my stuff out and have some of my companions guarding near the old entrance. Hopefully tonight I can install 2.0 and move back in.

My first test will be to run in and out the door a bunch of times like a school boy in the summer time. I'll report my success or dooom.

EDIT: No dooom! I did a bunch of enter/exits and didn't have a single crash with 2.0. I have a few things to add though.
..... YOU FIXED IT! Thank you for covering up that vanilla hole outside! Almost every time I saw it, I had a mod companion stuck to their waist in it.
..... I like all the changes you have made, from the new door location to the relocated rooms.
..... I love the dwemer-style wall boxes - very clever use of space. Gives us all the various organizational spots that you are famous for, but without the clutter of mini-chests on shelves.
..... I also love the new alphabetical bookshelves. And the map down there is a nice extra touch.
..... The new location of the shrines is excellent! In fact the new location of everything is excellent!
..... I'd still like to see a swords & board display above the common room fireplace and a single weapon display above the Thane's fireplace. But that's just me wanting to show off a thing or two.

All in all, a brilliant 2.0 with all the right things in all the right places. And so far, no bugs or issues.
