I am very sad. I just learned that you have passed away. I hope you will have a safe and happy life in another world. Thank you very much for your creation. I like your creation very much. I will always use it. Thank you very much, I miss you!!!
Use Skytweak and/or Simply Balanced to finetune sneaking, along RAID, if this is your major concern. I tried several mods to improve archery and sneak and always I finish returning to those mods because I can get rid of things that are not right.
More testing with RAID. After adjusting contrast, brightness and sunlight with Imaginator I can say that RAID has become my best weather mod. Recommended.
Would you mind sharing your settings with Imaginator? I'm looking to try out the setup you have (ELFX hardcore + Relighting Skyrim + Shadows + RAID Weathers) after this play-through.
Hello, a bit late but let's go explain some things...
Imaginator is the main tool to polish imbalances, especially between indoors and outdoors. It's to me the most important mod in light and weather customization.
I tried 2 combos with good results:
RAID normal saturation + ELFX Hardcore + Imaginator
In that case I don't touch anything, but the brightness to 10 and the sunlight to 5. It's a good combo to have saturated colors, the nights are beautiful.
RAID less saturation + Relighting Skyrim + Enhanced Lighting for ENB LITE + Imaginator
In that case I can increase the overall saturation in Imaginator to 10. Also, because RAID is low contrast I increase the sunlight option to 5. ¡Nothing more!
The reason to use the less saturated version is because RS + ELE are way less saturated than ELFX, Imaginator gives the final touch.
You may need to reduce brightness indoors, in that case Simply Darker Interiors can help. I'm using Dynamically Disable Eye Adaptation and Bloom because I don't like these effects. Also I'm using Extreme Red Ash Storm Solstheim to give an unique weather to the island.
Mind your display can be different, so get that like a loose guide.
My question about this mod is, if I use Stealth Skills Rebalanced by kryptopr which alters AI detection as well as some of my sneak, lockpicking and pickpocket skills, will this mess with RAID Weather's effects? I guess what I"m trying to ask is, is RAID meant to be used for vanilla AI detection only (or RAID Detection)?
Obviously if the creator passed away, he won't be able to answer... And my condolences too. I hope someone else can answer this question though.
i dont think it should cause you that big of problem ,you might want to try this author's detection mod as an alternative for kryptopyre's mod. also if having a second though use tes5edit to see if they share any kind of records
I don't know if this is real but the comment below me says you're dead but if that Is true thank you for this mod you truly helped me and other players, may God bless you and open his arms to you, may you rest in peace bro.
Apologies in advance for being that person, but are you planning to back-port the new SE version to LE sometime in the future?
(Small aside, unrelated to your mod: I wish xEdit had some sort of diff utility for mods to compare and maybe copy over the changes from a different version of the same mod.)
I knew someone was going to ask :D Sorry, I don't feel like doing it for now. Not sure when. Permissions are open if anyone else wants to do it (there's a nif file and some textures that may need converting to LE formats, and the volumetric lighting data would need to be scrubbed from the esp - both their own record types, and their references in the weather records). There's an xedit script somewhere on the internet to jury-rig a form-44 plugin to a form-43 plugin.
I´ve tested the "Special Edition" version of this MOD on "Legendary" and everything worked just fine. There were no incompatibilities, Bugs, error warnings or something like that. However, I did a clean install using Vortex as my MOD Manager, so the results will probably vary depending on your load order or MOD Manager of use. This probably won't make much difference now, considering it's been months since this post and by then you've found another weather MOD alternative, but even so, I thought it was worth answering.
And of course, my condolences to the author of the MOD, may he rest in peace.
No worries, thanks for trying it out! Considering how mods like Alternate Perspective are able to work on LE without any issues (its author stated they never had to convert it from Form 44), I will take your word for it & try it myself.
I can't express my surprise. It's really beautiful. It's so beautiful without ENB. It's the best weather I've ever used! Every place let me stay and enjoy for a long time. Thank you very much for your creation!
Well, tested this mod for two days and I can say my opinion.
Excellent foggy ambience, snow storms and better "cold" sensation than my other favorite weather mods, Obsidian and Cathedral. Only for that reason I find hard to decide which is better, because Cathedral and specially Obsidian are lacking, very lacking, in snowy areas. The sunny days, and some nights, are a bit "pastel" color, specially the sky, you must notice the greenish tonality overall, but good enough anyway. Unlike Obsidian and Cathedral which I paired with Relighting Skyrim + Shadows, RAID plays better with ELFX because they have somewhat similar palette. I'm using ELFX hardcore and no big complaints.
A bit late, but kudos to the author.
Four days testing the mod. Right now I'm trying to pair Relighting Skyrim + Shadows using the saturated version.

After several experiments I can affirm now that the combo ELFX + RAID Weathers is the best one if you want to avoid ENB.
Works fine with both versions, enhanced and hardcore. Enhanced for a fantasy setup, hardcore for a realistic/survival setup.
Edit: RAID is not perfect, sometimes, during storms, the darkness is very acute, but overall it's the best weather mod.
