I've been taking a break from MCM Recorder to focus on learning SKSE C++ plugin development to make better mods for the Skyrim community.
My next big upcoming project: a YouTube tutorial series for SKSE plugin development (for C++ novices and advanced users alike)
Watch for this in the coming weeks! Subscribe to Skyrim Scripting to get notified!
I'm also currently working on tools for helping mod authors test both SKSE/Papyrus/Skyrim Platform mods. And I have a variety of SKSE plugins I plan on developing in the coming months.
So forgive my absence from MCM Recorder and my other mods while I work on this to help everyone in the community!
MCM Recorder doesn't work for mod X. Help?
MCM Recorder works for MOST mods. But not all. I will follow-up with new versions (released for all versions of Skyrim) to add support for mods. Be patient.
Something Else Doesn't Work!
Please use the "Bugs" on Nexus to file a Bug. Be as descriptive as possible. I will go through all of the Bug reports occassionally (after finishing SKSE projects)
I wish this didn't take up one of my valuable .esp slots...
Me too. I'm working on a way to make this an .esp-less project ;)
Found a problem. I created a recording (let's call it "A") and exited the game. When I loaded my game and go to the MCM Recorder menu, it doesn't display recording A. So I created other recordings (B, C, D, E) and much like A they don't show up in the menu.
However the recordings both json files and folders are present in the mod's folder. It's just that the MCM Recorder menu doesn't see or detect them. In fact the menu says "no recordings."
Come to think of it, when I start recording, no record appears on the menu.
I'm using MO2 and have all the necessary requirements. Anybody know what's wrong and how to fix it? A shame if this mod is broken because it makes MCM tweaking easy and less time consuming.
Okay... I recorded a mod config session, coppied it out of the Overwrite file into Data/McmRecorder, and none of the recordings I made are listed. HOW DO I ACTUALLY LOAD THE RECORDINGS I MADE?
For anyone experiencing issues with recording not showing make sure that you're not using a bundled version of papyrus and instead also have the standalone version. This fixed the issue for me. Thanks, great mod, really appreciate it.
So...How do i completely uninstall the mod? yeah it works... for the most part but i need to uninstall it. so i uninstall it from NMM and...its still in my game. its still in the MCM menu. I UNINSTALLED IT and it still in my game. WTF?
Edit: well it turs out you need to uninstall the mod and then completely restart your game for the mod to be officially removed. >:/
