This mod is no longer supported by me. Modding Bethesda games was fun, but I have moved on. I won't update any of my mods. However, any mod author may use my mods in any way they want, be it further updates or new mods based on them, compilations or whatever you can think of. No permission needed (you still have to ask for permission to use the new panther mesh and texture), just give credit please. Thanks to Beth for the great games, and a big thanks to those who downloaded and endorsed, and an extra thanks to those who tested and provided feedback. See you soon on Fallout 4 Nexus
Alright folks I have uploaded a major update. The most significant change is the new panther model. Thanks to tumbajamba, Targaryen and DVAted for this! (Please note that you are NOT allowed to use their mesh in other mods without permission)
Other noticable changes include:
Better visual FX when Guen is summoned
Summon time extended to 6 hours per day (real-time hours, 6 game hours are over too soon with a normal timescale)
The figurine is now relocated to the cave of Guldun Rock. Prepare for a tough fight, if you are of low level, you better run for it
When Guen is summoned, you receive a power, it will be removed when Guen returns to the Astral planes. This power allows you to call Guen from anywhere, this is handy if you told her to wait somewhere and you don't wanna go all the way to pick her up.
No more loose files, everything is inside a BSA file now.
Things I could not change yet:
The onyx figurine is not yet updated to represent the panther. I edited the figurine mesh to look like a panther but the CK doesn't want to read my edited mesh Any help on this matter is highly appreciated.
NPCs cannot use the power to summon Guen. But I will figure something out to make that happen, already got an idea how to do this.
According to the original lore, Guen can only be summoned every other day. I'll try to figure something out on this matter.
If you update the mod from an older version, make sure all script files, meshes and textures related to this mod are deleted. Scripts are in Data/Scripts, delete vvvGuen*.pex. Textures are in Data/Textures/vvvGuen, just delete the vvvGuen folder. Meshes are in Data/Meshes/vvvGuen, just delete the vvvGuen folder.
I love you man. Seriously. lol This mod is so awesome. I just started a new game, and I want my character to have Guen with him. I'll pretend it's a time after Drizzt had it. lol Plus, there are a couple people working on Companions of the Hall mods, so obviously this goes great with them. I can't wait to find her!! I'm currently reading Charons Claw and I dont want to ruin anything, but Guen is a pretty decent part of it. Off to play. Can't wait to check out this update!!
Try not do die when you are off to aquire the onyx figurine of wondrous powers. At lower levels, even Guenhwyvar is not strong enough to survive the dangers you will encounter
I am currently working on a Companions of the Hall mod. The mod you are tracking is the very mod that has lead me to create my own, as I have had several issues with it and the author.
So far, I have the model and AI for every companion: Drizzt, Wulfgar, Catti-brie, Bruenor, Regis and Guenhwyvar. I am in the process of adding custom meshs for most of their weapons and armor.
What I am asking is... would it be possible to use the mesh you have for Guenhwyvar in the mod? I know you have said you need permission to use the mesh, so I am asking for it.
Drizzt currently summons Guenhwyvar on his own. It is a simple Conjure Familiar spell turned to summon Guenhwyvar instead. I have created a black fur texture for her, and currently, if I was told "No" it would not delay my mod at all. Alternately, if I was told "Yes" I could swap out and rename the mesh so it does not conflict with your mod.
I am planning on releasing it this Sunday.
My mod will not replace anything of yours, as only Drizzt is able to Summon Guenhwyvar. If players want to Summon Guenhwyvar themselves, they will require your mod.
I wouldn't call it cheating, I started a new character (Artemis Entreri) and I wanted him to have Guenhwyvar from the very beginning. So I teleported inside Guldun Cave, got Guen, and then teleported back to Riverwood (I didn't take the rest of the loot inside the cave).
I play on master difficulty and at low level Guen is a perfect killing machine. We'll see at higher levels... Maybe you could add variants, something like "weak Guen", "normal Guen" and "powerful Guen".

I'm tracking this mod, looks promising.

Two comments:
1) For those who want to get Guen without effort, use the console command "coc GuldunRock01" to teleport inside Guldun Cave.
2) Guen seems overpowered to me.

Anyway, the mod is good. Endorsed.
