Okay, I am stuck at the very first step of installation!
I need to disable upper body turn, right?

Nice animations but can you provide patches so that other animations (except while holding a weapon combat or non combat) to co exist with your animations, I mean you know like I'll use other animation mods for the RUN, WALK, SPRINT, SNEAK while I use yours while holding a weapon or during combat. You kinda get me on there? I kinda use many animations but just bits or like JUMP animation here and on the other one just installing the sprint something lilke that, hope your mod got a patch cause skyrim wont be good without this i tell you that! ^_^
1.Adding a comment for anyone else's benefit, to save them the headache I had after much testing, if you play as a female with gender specific animations the old vanilla way (replacing the original animation meshes) you will have an animation directory of "(Your drive)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\animations" with a "female" folder inside "animations".
2.If you have any HKX files in the "female" folder that match exactly the name of any HKX files in your DAR folders, the DAR animations will be completely overwritten by the animations in the "female" folder, unless that DAR folder has custom conditions specifying female no other conditions matter, even the "random" one.
3.To give an example using this mod : It has "H2H_idle.HKX"s in multiple folders with "random" as a condition.txt, if you play as a female with a "female" specific folder based on vanilla animation file replacement (follow the directory in the "1" paragraph to check vanilla female only animations), ALL of these DAR folders will not play if you have a HKX file of the same name in the "female" folder if the DAR custom conditions text does not have, "IsFemale () AND" with an enter to go to the next line of "condition"
Basically because all the idles (AND the DAR folders they are in) in this mod lack that "IsFemale() AND" in their "_conditions.txt" they will be completely overwritten by a HKX of the exact same name in the "vanilla female" directory (again, read point 1 to know the directory I mean)
4. In short, "(Your drive)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\animations\female\ H2H_idle.HKX" will consistently overrule, in game any, and in all folders, EXACT HKX name DAR animations or idles that do not specify "IsFemale() AND" in the DAR "_conditions.txt"
5. you basically have 3 choices in this scenario;
A) Delete the HKX in the "female" (you should know the directory I mean by now when I put "female")folder, that is one solution, both men and women will use the animation in game, but you'll lose that original female HKX that you liked.
B) Add "IsFemale() AND" at the top of the particular DAR folder/s "_conditions.txt" with a line break "enter" to put what was originally in the txt file a line below this condition (all conditions need to be on a separate line), don't delete any of the original txt unless you know what the DAR conditions mean (go to "DAR" mod page, forum, custom conditions article" if you don't). This process will enable the females to use the particular animation and keep the original "vanilla" female specified animation as well but males will not be able to use any animations with "IsFemale () AND" at the top of it's "_conditions.txt"
C) if you're a bastard like me and want to keep your "vanilla" female (folder) Idle/animation HKX, want to use DAR EXACT same name HKX files in DAR folders but have males use it as well, you need two separate DAR folders, copy and paste, renumber the copy, so "600593" is uniform sex and has an idle you want for both, you as a female wouldn't use this one in game ever if you're still using the vanilla "gender" specific file directory (you know the paragraph I'm referring to by now to know the directory, 1), copy DAR folder and renumber the copy to "600594", HKX/s, _conditions.txt, copy the entire folder basically, renumber it and in the "_conditions.txt" file put your "IsFemale() AND" at the top.
I noticed a lot of people putting issues with this mod, same for me, it wasn't working for me at all, as I play as a female character with "vanilla" gender specific functionality, I don't know if prior commenters are the same, anyway I noticed something, the idles for all the unarmed idles were working consistently with no issues except every other idle type and all of the sprint animations in smooth random sprints by Skypia , I also noticed something else in my animations "female" directory, I did not have any H2H_idles, I had sprints, idles for every other "weapon" type in there from the "TERA castanic animations mod", I like the dual magic idle, the mlh and mlr idles mainly as well as the finger snaps on spell cast from mystic knight, but I did not have any "H2H_idle.HKX" in the "female folder and that was the only "smooth" Idle coming out with all of it's random stances working perfectly as well, non of the other smooth idles or sprints were working either (different mod by same author).
(hint : going into crouching with your "weapon" drawn and standing back up will trigger the randomised "combat" stances, if no enemies are around, which is preferable for testing purposes)
once I deleted all of the idles and drawn weapon sprints in my "female" folder because I wasn't too keen on them compared to this mod, except the dualmagic idle, mlh and mlr idles (castanic has this awesome feminine fingers waving animation when with a spell in either or both hands), kept the finger clicks of mystic knight on spell cast but all other idles were deleted, all of the smooth random combat and non combat idles started working immediately, even better for me, I can have the "smooth" random idles of the right hand at exactly the same time as the castanic magic idle animation for the left or vice versa,
This mod does work, same with the sprint mod, you just need to check your "(Your drive)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\animations\female" folder for anything that has exactly the same HKX name and if the DAR folder specifies female in it's "condition.txt" or not.
I have alot of mods, a lot of merged mods, I am pushing 743 with some script bangers as well,(before merging assets and esps), after cracking this issue, my game plays the animations smoothly. This mod does work you just need to understand how DAR itself functions when it comes to female animations still being in the vanilla "female" folder.
I hope this helps anyone else who reads, I've tried to make it as simple as possible, but I realise it is a lot of information, if you're playing as a female character all of this is something you need to bare in mind.
I installed the mod, and it works for most parts, except for one noticeable problem.
I used the custom animation picker in the FOMOD, and chose only one specific idle stance (e.g. for my PC one-handed sword). For some reason, it does not register my choice for standing idles and just uses the "random" option.
Tried reinstalling and choosing the options again, same problem.
I install manually and i was a bit lost with the files , but i have installed esp , esm and the full version and all works perfectly . The idles are beautiful , you are the best one ! that's amazing , after a sneak idle , the position changes when my character stands up . I add a lot of screenshots , thanks a lot .
am I doing something wrong? I unchecked the NPC option in the fomod so it's just a player exclusive animation but when I go in-game everyone has it. Awesome Animations btw :)
I've been looking at this mod since it came out but I didn't download it because I was already using a great mod that did this and I didn't want to get rid of it. Turns out it was your 1.1 version of this mod this whole time. That just shows you how great it was to begin with! Thanks for the animations!
