Strangely, it worked fine after starting a new game, but at some point, the SleepForMe dialogue phrase disappeared when talking to followers. Why is this like that? In that case, if uninstall and reinstall, the dialog box will appear again. This mod is a script mod, is it okay if I do that?
Hello I am trying to use this mod with Hadvar from the authentic cw followers mod. Are these incompatible? I am unsure what edits I need to do to the NPC to make it work. Currently I lay down, he "says" (its silent because I use Fus ro doh) the line and then just stands there. Is there an AI package I need to add to the NPC for it to work? I tried adding the defaultsleeppackageanytime to him but it didn't seem to help. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!
It could be where you are trying to have him sleep at. certain cells have owner permissions. I've also seen it if the NPC can't figure out a clear path to then entry point of the bed. Try using these bedrolls outside of a town and see if he will lay in them. If he won't lay in the bedroll then its a problem with this mod. Otherwise it's a problem with the location you are trying to get him to lay at.
Hey, glad you're here. I was arguing w/ someone named MookyMilkSims about your "yield to me" video. I told him it looked like you were doing to much w/ your LE meaning it's limitations and possibly adding and removing mods. You know (testing) and also referring to the invisible bandit, noticing the sluggishness of your followers while you were playing. And he went off on some tangent that I had something against you and LE. I just wanted you to know in case it ever got back around to you. That is total bullshit. I have nothing against you. I've actually been a fan and have watched your YT channel long before I ever made Yield to me. And me having something against LE is preposterous. Sadly I just know it is a 32bit engine. But I wanted you to know that. There was the part in the video when you said you brought being teleported to my attention and my response was.... I was a little perplexed when I saw that.
As far as the teleporting thing that happened to me a couple times, I figured I'd wait and try again in another play through. I think you updated the mod since that video. Time flies.
Right now I have Me So Hungry (BSA) LE-109503-220401-1648781020 installed. I broke the BSA into loose files. That's why NMM is telling me that sleepformenow.seq was already installed (over-write?) when I installed this mode (also broken up BSA used.) That's how the filename was found again. I thought maybe the seq would be called mesohungry.seq or giamelmods.seq. Something different than what this mod is using for a filename.
Anyway, I'm always retrying my favorite mods when I see an update for them. Thanks for your hard work on these.
If you don't have a "Me So Hungry.seq" dialogue for Me So Hungry will not appear until you load a save. That'll kick start the quest to make dialogues appear.
looks like you aren't running the DoubleBeds for spooning meshes and animations. But her Z coordinates in the bed position mesh is off and can be adjusted for her size w/ nifscope. Check out the very last screenshot in Doublebeds for spooning.
I do not have "DoubleBeds for Spooning" installed. I am having Snuggly Laydown LE - Variance Do I need the bed mesh? from "DoubleBeds for Spooning" pack so I could be able to edit it and change Z-offset?
If yes, can you make a cot mesh with a similar option to edit actor's position offset? Because the cot in this game is a one really naughty piece of furniture. I've struggling for years to make actor not float in the air above the cot.
you can keep the snuggly animations. But each piece of furniture you use Hay piles, bed rolls, Beds all have an x,y,z axis which governs point of reference in relation to the actor. You can adjust the height above the bed of the actor entering them. the size of the actor is also is a factor. the smaller they are the closer to the z axis they are also.
I would suggest getting the double bed meshes even if only temporary to see how you're actor fits in them. You probably already know this but NIF's will be the furniture model and HKX's are the animation files for how the actor uses the furniture.
It works poorly. I just realize you can't edit bed's Position values thinking of the female actors only, becuase male actors will use that furniture too, and they will go floating once you encrease the Z-value. If only I could find the animation file that makes female actors stick their feet down into bed!
What I am going to do right now is I am installing your Position6 to see if it looks better.
Regarding the possibility of editing furniture nifs, I actually know how to do that. It's just... you try editing this nif: meshes\clutter\civilwar\civilwarcot01.nif
Like I said, it's a bad boy. The actor's position won't change no matter what values you put into the nif.
There are several follower management mods, but funny that there is no mod that makes the followers sleep, and only a few of the custom voice followers have their own unique sleeping ai. The great thing about campfire mod in that respect is that if you set up a tent and lay down, your followers will follow you all at once. It's crazy that no one else has done this simple thing. The follower management mod I use is the most recent mode, NFF, which is quite clean and highly compatible compared to other outdated ones. This mod is neat compared to other follower mods, but it has the advantage of providing a hotkey function that does not require you to open the menu or talk to the follower every time to let the followers rest or follow them freely. At any time, simply press a hotkey to perform a free action while waiting, or to stop it and follow player. I am very satisfied with this mod, but my only complaint was that 'if the follower only sleeps, it is perfect'.
Your mod gave me hope. However, although automatic detection is a good idea, it seems to be exposed to various instabilities. It is likely because it is not at the level that mechanically forces the user to lie down on an empty sleeping bag provided as a campfire mod. I installed the mod and it worked well, but it worked unstable depending on the subtle difference in circumstances. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and there were times when the follower's dialog timing was subtly annoying. (Especially when using head tracking mod)
I canonically suggest an idea for a mod. Making hotkeys. And making a lite version without the follower's dialog.("ok", "allright" is enough.) Depending on the situation, it can eliminate subtle and technically complex situations, make it work more clearly, and make it more natural. Making it configurable with MCM would also be a good idea.
Oh, and compatibility with gotobed is definitely a problem that needs to be resolved. I'm using gototbed, and it basically works, but there are cases where the sleep animation doesn't play on one side of the bed and gets stuck.
Campfire - Chesko = Ferrari since 2012 :: giamel = schwinn since 2022 The autosleep is selective on a per follower bases. different follows act differently as well as the framework you are using. Go check this post out I just stickied today. especially if you are using NFF
With your new version 220315 I have a bug. The innkeeper's sentence asking if we want a bed has disappeared. By putting back the old version 211020 the bug disappeared.
Ok, no prob. just make a note to use the new version when you start a new game. It is not imperative you switch. For your peace of mind the new version will work w/ those other mods too.
This may or may not help you. But there are days I have to restart Skyrim 50 times to test things. So i have it down to a science. I use 2 methods. At the startup screen before you select new/load game open console and type "coc riverwood" to be teleported to riverwood. Let mods load. takes about 1min
The other is use an Alt start mod to by pass the carriage ride. I use Ralof or Hadvar. once in game and you made your choice let all mods load. Then type "setstage mq102 1" this completes quests exiting the Hegen cave exit. then "coc riverwood" to be teleported to riverwood. This process should take about 3 mins.
Using either of these two methods doesn't mean you have to give up on a past game or get rid of old saves.
I'm using Go to Bed to get a lie-down animation, and NFF as the follower management mod. When I get in bed, I get the how-long-to-rest-for dialog box immediately after the lie-down animation finishes, so there's no time for a follower to comment and get in bed. However, if I lie in bed after sleeping, a nearby follower will notice, comment, and join me. Not perfect, but good enough for some roleplay, and I'm not sure there's a way to improve it. If this mod implements its own lie-down animation, then maybe the solution is removing GtB.
PS: What ownership faction(s) does a bed have to have for a follower to be willing to use it (but still able for player to get Well Rested from it)? I added several beds to Skystone Castle (house mod), owned by player, and the followers don't use them.
I know the Go To Bed author has been changing things around. I keep forgetting I'm using a much older version of Go To Bed that new players are not privy to anymore. At one point he implemented his own animations and to achieve the correct spooning animations desired, One would simply not install them and my mod "Double Beds for spooning" animations would take precedent. Now you are telling me when you lay down the slider pop up appears. I haven't downloaded Go To bed to test things out in a very long while to know what new users are experiencing. I'll have to do that.
There is an option in the MCM for Go to Bed to set a time between when you lie down and when the dialog box appears. In the Main option you can set the dialog box to appear automatically and, if you desire, also set a time delay between when you lie down and when the dialog box appears. This is in version 1.5.3 but my remembrance is that the option has been there for at least a few previous versions.
I haven't tested the feature with this mod since I haven't downloaded the mod yet, but it should work for you.
Orcy-dokey, I used the MCM to turn off the auto-dialog thing. I now lie in bed without instantly triggering the how-long-to-sleep dialog, but I end up in the middle and the follower merges into me. I have Double Beds for Spooning, the new Inn Double Beds for Spooning, this mod, and Go to Bed. I tested in the upstairs bed at Bee and Barb in Whiterun. Wondering if I just need to completely remove Go to Bed. If I'm interpreting the above correctly, giamel's mods alone should work and GtB isn't doing anything for me.
No you need Go To Bed or you will just have to watch all your NPCs spoon and you will be excluded from the festivities. I think the mod started offering animations at some point which started changing vanilla paths to new Go To Bed animations paths. If I remember correctly I think you have to install Go To Bed with vanilla animations option and Double Beds for spooning animations should work. Like I said I'm using an earlier version that I love and haven't had much experience w/ latter versions Because that was the version I created all the spooning stuff for. I may look into a simple 3rd person view but there is no reason to reinvent the wheel unless the wheel becomes square.
I am using FLP, Go to Bed, and Wolf Skin Bedrolls for spooning. "If the player is laying down the follower will say something about sleeping then attempt to find a bed." Doesn't work to me. Nothing happens. The dialogue is active.
Yes, it works with those. It's okay. Now I have quite a few mods about bedrolls mostly duplicating each other. Not a big deal... But, listen, Simple Bedrolls come floating in the air as I place it on the ground. I am so used to Craftable and Placeable Havok Enabled Badass Bedrolls, if you know what I'm tsalking about. Is it possible to make an Auto Sleep For Me Now compatibily patch?
Also, what's the problem with ownership? Mayby I can xEdit Havok Bedrolls' esp to make it easy for the followers to use them via Auto Sleep functionality...
Don't know I haven't used them in years. I was trying to keep everything somewhat uniform across both LE and SE because It's all just pain to keep track off. Now they want to come out with some new 10 yr anniversary edition on 11/11/21 since Microsoft now owns Bethesda. I just wish they'd all get there damn booger fingers off of Skyrim and move on. Anyway, I'll look into bedrolls again and see what is involved with the ownership issue. EDIT: Bad news. They are working fine for me. I just tested with Jenassa and she climbed in the wolfskin bedroll just fine, outside of Whiterun. I need to be able to reproduce your issue to fix it. Maybe your follower is to close to you. What is FLP?

StopQuest autoSleepQst
ResetQuest autosleepqst
StartQuest autosleepqst
EDIT: Not seeing it. No its not right, But it won't hurt anything as long as the SleepForMeNow.seq is there.

2. Female sleep idle it not alright:
There's no animation files in your mod's bsa, but you might know the cause for the clipping.

The animation doesn't look good on female characters.
Thanks for you help, Giamel!
