Love the little mods that enhance the game, but I do have one question.
Why is there an esp for this mod? If all it does is change the texture with an higher resolution one, it does not require an esp unless I am missing something.
All the shrines use the same model in the base game, so in order to get them to use different textures, I have to do one of two things: 1. Replace the models with different models that have new texture paths (what I did) 2. Create new texture sets and apply a new texture set to each of the different models (what I should have done)
Either of these require me to use an ESP to either switch the models or switch the texture sets. If you're up against the ESP limit but really want to use this mod, I'd suggest merging it with another mod or your Bashed Patch or something.
From what I can tell of the original shrine textures, it looks like the alphabet in Tamrielic lore, whatever it is. They do use English as well, so an english option would be nice too.
Unfortunately, to add in more options I'd have to redo everything from scratch, because I've had a hard drive wipe since making the textures. I personally think it makes more sense for it to be in Draconic, since you can see dragon runes everywhere in High Hrothgar, but to each their own. I probably won't be making another version though, unless I decide to restart from square 1.
Excellent. Love the idea that they are Dragon Runes and you can read them because you are Dragonborn. Almost like a reality check that you really are the Dragonborn when taking those steps for the first time, unsure what you'll find up there.
@Revan: In the vanilla game, every shrine uses the same mesh, which means every shrine uses the same texture. Because this mod makes every shrine have its own texture, I had to create new statics, each with new versions of the mesh which point to the new textures. All the ESP does is replace the old shrine statics with the new ones, so that each shrine plaque can have a unique texture.

Yeah I'm fighting hard for each ESP like I guess many people out there. Thanks again!
really more precise with those textures !
Thanks for clearing that up and keep up the good work.
