I'm getting inconsistent volume on the heavy armor footsteps (walking on stone is much quieter than walking on wood, for example). I am using Immersive Sounds, but I did load this esp after it and I made sure to remove every footstep record from ISC beforehand. Any idea what the issue could be? Because I'm at a loss here.

Hi, thanks for your input, I will check the issue. The error is propably not on your end, although this would be a vanilla issue as I matched the loudness to the corresponding non-heavy armor material. Still this mod should encompass this so I will fix this soon.

To be a bit more specific, running (with heavy armor at least, haven't tested with light) isn't as loud as walking/sprinting/walking up or down a set of stairs. I do want to use this mod since I think it sounds better than ISC, but this is kind of a deal breaker since it's very noticeable.

Well. I tried and uninstalled it.
Apparently, those sound are generated by an invisible entity 1m in front of me and volume correct (which is fine on the process) however :
    - in water the sillage starts 1m in front of me (which I could tolerate)
    - mountains and relief are blinking...because for some reasons the light is then adaptated for someone roughly 1m in front of me but the camera is still at the same place.

No clue why it does that, but it does.
    Sorry :(

That sounds really strange, i will definitely look into it though I'm not sure where to start looking. Do you use any othere mods that could possibly interfere with this one? It seems the player position is getting changed. Does it happen in 3rd or 1st person?

I tried loading a list of 500 mods but wasn't able to reproduce your issue. Water moves where I go, sound comes from my position too. No flickering mountains or other things. Perhaps this is an issue with the port or a conflict with LE or some other mod, I don't really know. Nobody else reported this issue. To be honest I dont even know how footsteps or impact effects could create this issue.

Well, thanks for checkling it, I don't know why but I do reproduce it with on/off that specifi mod.
it's pretty obvious in third personn, but the water thingy is also visible in first person (and the blinking relief due to light is visible in both too)

It's probably an interference on my  side. Don't know why. I'm currently trying to disable a=half the mod I have then the other half to get to narrow the problem

      edit: Well.
I've just put that high on the loead order, like 2nd or 3rd esp and ...it just works.
My mods are a few graphic enhancement and a bunch of items so I really don't get what got messed up. Hope I'll be the only one with the issue.

I did have this mod installed mid game, shouldn't have any problem whatsoever.

One of the things that bothered me the most in skyrim sound wise was the hyper repetitive walking noises with basically no variety anywhere. Take my endorsement (least as soon as nexus will let me lol)!

Is this compatible with Barefoot Footstep?

I am kinda curious about that. I actually JUST uninstalled that mod to try this one thinking it might add similar sounds. Premature on my part. LOL. I'll be watching for replies. Can always see the responses on the SSE page too I suppose. So far the things from this mod sound pretty great IMO!!

This mod is restoring vanilla's cut content, while Barefoot Footstep is adding/replacing the sounds.
I would have to guess as I do not have Barefoot Footstep installed, which ever load last between the two would have its features played in the game.
Please do let me know if any problem.
