Oh man, I would have loved to have had this on SSE. I roleplay a Snow elf non-dragonborn on Skyrim Together, and when my buddy and I ended up in Sovngarde, this would have been perfect at the time. Big kudos!
All elven civilisations stem from one common origin, so I'm sure elves wouldn't be so entertained by the prospect of their kin being slaughtered by nords. I would suppose that Ysgramor has a bad reputation amongst the mer(similar to Tiber Septim's dubious standing) for basically driving an entire race of mer extinct.
That's true but, i don't think it's that black and white. The snow elves did slaughter every single Nord in Saarthal, women and children included. But i'm not saying it justifies him committing genocide on them, just that there was a reason. Cause and effect if you will.
yes, and then Ysgramor slaughtered as many Falmer women, Falmer children, falmer men, and forced them to build his city. One bad action doesnt excuse another bad action (which, coincidentally, this second bad action destroyed an entire race.). keep in mind Skyrim didn't belong to the Atmorans at this time. The Atmorans were trespassing, and after the Falmer were killed, they took over their land. And, why not just kill the ones that sacked Saarthal? No, Ysgramor didn't do that.
You know what I did once that was just great, I used a portal mod so I could return to Sovengarde whenever I wanted so I set one side up in the hall, then used the other portal in a falmer infested dungeon and set it up so when they would chase me they would go through the portal and end up in the great hall. Needless to say, when I returned, the great hall was under attack by hordes of falmer. Not realistic but hilarious to see all those great 'heroes' on their knees.
