ESL flagging the Wyrmstooth-esp one produces a crash. Tried manually and with ESLify.
I vacated a plugin slot to try it normally, as well as the ESM version. The ESP one still produced a crash, and the ESM one seemingly does nothing cause my Wyrmstooth mudcrab summon was invisible still.
LE doesn't support ESL files. Only SE does. Probably the reason is because you're using this in the wrong version. Also, I've never heard of someone trying to turn an LE plugin into an ESL file. If you want this for SE, someone else already made some patches based on mine.
Thanks for this. I only encountered this yesterday after updating some mods. No idea what causes it, I've used SkyTEST since 2012 and never came across invisible mud crabs before!
DOH! I am not using any of the listed mods! I'll try changing load order!
Late reply, but changing your load order shouldn't fix the problem. What mod are you getting an invisible mudcrab with? Perhaps I could make a patch for that? If nothing else, you could open my mods in TES5Edit to see how I applied the fix, or read my verbose explanation as to what causes this and how to fix it. Basically, you just need to switch the invisible mudcrab to use the new 'mudcrabgiant' race instead of the medium one. In vanilla skyrim, there's three mudcrab models, but only two types; a small one, and a medium one which can use either the medium or large model. Skytest seperates it into two races, and sets the medium mudcrab to no longer be able to spawn with the large model. This is why mods that add in large mudcrabs tend to have this issue, they're instead trying to spawn in the original medium mudcrab but with it set to the large model instead of the new large mudcrab race found in skytest. If I remember right, you should only need to change one record to fix this. The biggest problem is identifying the invisible mudcrab in question. I just used the console to select it and find its baseid, which I then used to find its record in the mod in question (the first two numbers in the baseid btw should point you to where the mod is in your load order).
I know nothing about translations of mods; I've never needed those since my native language is English. I have no clue how they work.
What npc names are being changed exactly? These files only overwrite certain mudcrabs, that's it. No named npcs are touched in any of them (besides for Celyria anyway, her patches are for her named mudcrab summon). They shouldn't be overwriting anything other than mudcrabs. I didn't copy the entire esps; I just overwrote one record in each. Note that all these patches are significantly smaller than any of the mods they patch. Other than Celyria's summon, they should be overwriting no named npcs. Worst case scenario, some of the mudcrabs in your game may have their English names; they're the only things these mods touch.
I wouldn't know what I would need to do to make these multi-lingual. I've never even heard of doing such, to be honest. This is my first upload, and I'm only really used to making patches for myself.
Well, I'm sorry, I don't know how to fix that. I'm tagging this mod as English until I can find a way to fix that. Nothing comes up if I do a search for this, other than some TES5Edit script.
Just in time,I just noticed an invisible crab attacking me today. I didn't even understand what happened at first). For several years of using Skytest (Skyrim did not even pass half of it), I "saw" such crabs for the first time. Thank you very much for this fix.
