the contents in this mod are simply texture and mesh and maybe can be used in SE also, but I have not SE version to test it. If you wish to try it you can put a report here, with my thanks.
Hi friend, i installed both mods on a SSE setup, they did work, but it seems looking at the gems is causing a CTD
Edit: Nvm, seems to be related to a savefile corruption. sorry for the false negative.
Now, for the feedback:
For NeV-P_Extreme Materials - Crystals -
i really liked the gems, the refraction technique you used is flawless and everything looks as brilliant as ever, however, i must admit, the black soul gem model doesn't really fit, in my opinion of course, considering the fact the Black Soul gem is the corrupted version of a Grand Soul gem, it looks out of place. Don't get me wrong the model is gorgeous, but it doesn't fit lore wise. As for the "filled", i think it could be more subtle, perhaps an effect that slowly dims and brightens, as if it was humming.
The models look much more realistic than vanilla models, i specially adore the dwarven ingot design, nice touch adding those details. There are some ingots i think look a little strange, the gold ingot, for example, looks a little off, i think it could be smoother and more shiny, a nice metallic shine, same for the silver ingot. The iron ore looks a bit off, maybe it was the setup i was using but the textures looked "stretched". Also, for the ebony ingot, i think you could go with a different route, considering Ebony is supposed to be a metallic glassy substance, i don't think the ingot itself looks like that, specially with the added brown tarnish. Moonstone is really well done! It looks unique yet not out of place. The corundum ingot looks great, but the corundum ore gives a "coral" vibe, maybe it's just me, but you've done a great job recreating believable ores, perhaps you could make it appear more like "rock", like you did with the other ores. Also, a small detail, but the refined quicksilver in my game was labelled as "Quicksilver Ingot" which i though it was weird, the model was awesome though.
In summary, this is a great mod for those looking for a more realistic approach for materials, as it is obvious the author put a lot of work into not only improving the base assets of the game, but also recreating them with exquisite attention to details. I much prefer mods like this, that are not just "upscales" and "improved" versions of vanilla models, but rather a recreation with the added identity of the artist who crafted them. Anyway, well done friend! Endorsed and tracked, hope you continue to expand your work.
Thank you very much for the detailed report, and also for the suggestions for improvement. I will keep them in consideration. The creation of all materials is derived from my good knowledge of both raw and refined and processed metals, as I have worked with them for many years of my life and I know their appearance well. So also for the gems and crystals that I have studied and worked with for many years. ebony comes from the idea that it is extracted from large fossil trees in the depths of the earth, they sink their roots in the lava itself. This idea was born for the new world of the Nerevarine Vindication DLC that I was developing. For the texture I used the look of a chalcedony mineral called 'tiger eye' (raw). It seemed very appropriate to me. For the aspect of the moonstone I used the real one: it is an adularia that is called 'moonstone'. The appearance of the gold bars and all the others is exactly what they look like when they are melted down. For the mercury I apologize, but as this is a simple replacer, the names are vanilla. In fact in the standalone version of Extreme Materials (with esp) they were fixed. I will consider changing the appearance of the Black Soulgem: I will think about it, but not immediately. Thank you very much again and keep testing my works. Your considerations are very important to improve my work. Thanks to you I flagged both mods as SE compatible.
Np friend! Hope we get to see more of your work ing the future. As for the Ebony, according to the lore, it's supposed to look like a metallic glass, somthing like the mix between obsidian and steel. Since you work with materials, you're probably aware of metallic glass, it's a metal that does not hold a crystallic structute, instead it is amorphous, you can check more about it here
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amorphous_metal
The Ebony entry at UESP classifies Ebony as a volcanic glass, more in line of Obsidian, if you check the images, you can sse it has a glassy shine to it

but now that you explained your concept better, it makes much more sense. Anyway, keep up the great work!
coming soon replacer version of Tytanium Dragon Equipement, on request. And I'm working on new texture for a replacer version of Extreme Armory. Thank to you I decided to restart the Nerevarine Vindication project: base Tytanium Dragon Generation.
