   I like the idea of having an actual map, but not so much that you can't drop it. I wanted to give the Solstheim map to Vilja for holding until I actually went there, just a roleplay thing, also I wanted to store the Skyrim map in my Solitude safe, then "accidently" forget it, and not be able to use the actual map until I retrieved it, again just a roleplay thing.  A good idea, but not the locking it in inventory, so much.

      Just open it in CK and uncheck the Quest Item box and that's it. It'll take like 2 minutes including loading the CK.

   can the player activate the map to see this? i am looing for am map i can see in third person.

      No this just adds a map to the inventory but nothing happens when you click it.

      Yea, merge away. Note that I will no longer be responsible for it's functionality at that point. Of course, I have to say that but it'll merge fine with anything.
