A bit late for me to comment on this, but thanks for this awesome mod! I'm astonished there's not many late-roman armor mods, and this one really does nail the feeling of the fact that the empire declining: and doesn't looking nearly as out of place as the mods replacing the imperial armors with the early-roman empire armors. All in all, great work!
Presenting chainmail realistically in a videogames is difficult. Actual maille rings are usually only 6mm, which translating that into a texture gets a bit messy. The only way I can really improve it is to increase the textures to 4K, which I may do in a future update. This is the only riveted maille texture mod in Skyrim that I've ever seen so at least I have that going.
I used New legion mod but it's time to change to this one. Armors looks great (I appreciate you improved the armor textures). Especially the Emperor Robe (I've been looking for something like this for a long time) and the blue and red shield. But I just don't like the executioner outfit (they look too much like mage outfit. instead it could look like Charon?) and the mage outfit (It would look better if it was red or had a different appearance than vanilla mage outfit). I have a questions. The armor of the guards have the colors of the captured holds? because in the photo in Riften the guard has a purple sleeve. Could You rename the guards of the captured holds to legion auxiliary? Are you planning to do something similar for Stormcloaks? Sorry for my english i used the translator.
I may make some changes in the future, nothing concrete at the moment as I also have other projects and life going on. I'm glad to hear you like it, but did your invisible weapons issue resolve itself?
Fantastic looking armors, especially those Niederbieber and Intercisa helmets, and probably the only good looking lamellar/scale armor Skyrim has gotten, definitely going to play around with them.
If i could suggest anything, i'd find a way to put a legionary scarf on the mail armors because in real life those chafed a lot, and they break up the monotone shape and make them look more interesting. It'd make more sense to cover the neck in the cold of Skyrim too.
Edit: I saw that one of the files is standalone, i'd put which one is which in the header to make it more clear
Thanks for the feedback, a lot was based on NordWarUA's work so I'd say he's got better quality haha. But as for scarves I decided to look at that idea and added some in the last update.
So far the best looking Late Rome mod and fits into the lore. There are some issues with shading and vividity of colours, though. Like the Pannonian cap seeming a bit too plastic, and tunics a bit iffy too. The emperor's tunic especially. Do you think you could work on that?
