Torygg? Was a fool for not pulling Skyrim out of a forever corrupting Empire. He redeemed himself by accepting Ulfrics challenge. He died by Nord Custom. The Empire allowed The Thalmor to Enter Skyrim to Execute Talos worshippers.
and the Blades want you to Kill a redeemed Elder? For something he has long been absolved of? The Blades can go f*#@ themselves.
Skyrim. The game that showed us The deserved fall of both the blades and the Empire. Long live Skyrim...and ALL who choose to defend it!
Torygg, Empire and Thalmor are all part of same corrupt establishment. Torygg: puppet of the empire Empire: satelite state of Thalmor
Empire execute peoples because they steal horse or for crossing the border. After first time started to play Skyrim, after I escaped the Helgen my only priority was to hunt down Tullius and kill him. I couldn't until siege of Solitude but after seeing nords being in chains to be tortured and executed just because they don't want to give their customs away, I was disgusted. I would never even consider imperial side
As Sovngarde song says: And we stand tall, sons of the snow and we not fall under these blow cause our hearts are hardy and spirit is strong and voices are lifted in to this sovngarde song
But Ulfric is not a good thing either, he is too greedy and only thinks of himself, he does not really love skyrim, he only craves power, I dislike the empire but I hate ulfric more, his actions only served to feed alduin something that himself admits in sovengarde, you also believe that skyrim has the power to face aldmer alone
A + to that, you right about that, Ulfric had his chance, but the power mongul abused it by unfairly using to challenge someone who couldnt evet fight back against something like that, so now its your turn, I personally never side with either, I did partially try it , but in being sent to give yarl bulgruff a message, made me feel shitty, bulgruff being neutral , so I rolled back my saves to before and went about doing something else ...
If you look inside the Thalmor Embassy, you might discover that the Thalmor are involved in some Active Measures regarding Ulfric. He is being used as an unwitting agent MKULTRA style and the Thalmor are playing both sides of the Civil War.
Hello While these posts maybe quite old, I chanced upon this searching for something else, for those that'd like the blades left over dead, there's a mod to kill them after certain points in teh quest area reached https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/100097 -- Kill the Blades
And make a quest where the blades DO NOT APPEAR AT ALL?? I mean: your destiny to kill Alduin could proceed completely without those suckers, after all.
Nice mod!!!! Finally I have myself not killing Paarthurnax in order to complete all the quests.. Just a bit of thought, maybe it's better if you make Delphine & Esbern unessential after told them you will not going to kill Paarthurnax, and they turn hostile, so you can end both of them once and for all. But that's just my opinion. Nice mod, again. Defenitely will endorse!
What's exactly the difference between your mod and Paarthurnax dilemma? I used that mod for a while and seems to do exactly the same thing, so I need a good reason to switch over to a new mod. With that mod I was given the option to either kill or spare the dragon and the opposite side will submit to my decision (I am Dragonborn after all) and the quest will be finished and the Blades will not be upset on me (I can freely roam and use the items in Sky Haven Temple). Thank you and best wishes!
If you read the description, it becomes evident. You don't have to go to the greybeards and Paarthurnax. Just tell that witch Delphine no, and it ends.
I wrote a paragraph in the description about why I thought it was wrong for either side to compromise because you told them to. It's just not in their nature. Dilemma spends a lot of time letting you not choose a side. I think you have to. It's ok if you prefer Dilemma's approach. Everyone should mod the game according to their own tastes.
