Great job even though it's just a recolor. The shield looks rugged and a lot more like steel now and less like some ceremonial, polished silver variant. Endorsed.

Do you mean aswell as the brightness reduction remove the wood for a black or just change the wood to black ?
Any way you can make a version with the wood part changed to ebony, or just black/ darker in some way? I think that would make this shield look cooler
