A quick pinned post, partly copied over from the SE-Version:
Big thank you so far for your positive feedback and constructive criticism! Also for the Endorsements that get this mod on Page 2 of trending mods! I am a strong believer as long as everyone is respectful we have a nice place.
- it was pointed out that the voice-files are a bit too boomy and slightly to loud to fit in nicely (what could also come from the boomy voice). I messed it up a little bit (I think it comes from my edits). I hope and don't think it is too disturbing for now. I already talked to the voice actor and we will maybe even record completely fresh ones. But anyway I will give you updated Voice Files (will work as a simple overwrite update) - but no exact time frame. (Thanks here to SevVocal and ElSopa)
- Permission question to Arthmoor for Provincial Courier Service is out.
- Other features are still working in my brain, like pointed out also on the Description page but need more work and I don't want to give too much out for now.
Update 16.Nov.2020
- Seems we will record completly fresh and rework voice-lines - only a time thing! Also extracted original Voice-Files to compare as ElSopa suggested - thanks for this - when we are ready it will be a simple overwrite so no biggy for an update if anyone is worried about this
Update 18.11.2020
- LE Version is published - Assets are backported with Cathedral Assets Optimizer and ESP got backported with a SSEEdit Script. It is my first backported we tested it and it seems to work fine. I hope it runs at is should.
First I'd like to preface things by saying , I absolutely adore this mod and love Vander as a character. However .....
I've encountered an interesting problem. when Vander appears to deliver letters and whatnot, he has the most bizarre version of the fruity pebble face bug that I've ever seen before. yet spawning him in the console with his unique mod ID , he renders perfectly fine , no fruity pebble face , nada. Any ideas what sort of conflict might cause something like this??
It seems to be something somehow related to the original courier imo, since it's the transformed courier ID version that has the fruity pebble face. guess it's time to search through all my mods again XD.
it's okay , I solved this issue myself. it was something to do with the texture scaling, I had scaled down the rest of his textures, but missed the courier texture in the skyrim folder, I scaled him down a little bit there too and now he's fine with both ID's. So purely an error on my part lol.
No trouble at all. I appreciate the fact you took time to respond at all XD. I just need to be more thorough in my examinations of all files in future. Thank you for creating such an awesome mod!!
Since I am native german speaker and if i would be able in any way to replicate a good german version of vander and CouchWarrior would allow it this could actually be a possibility :D
I love Vander! Before him I used to hate the Courier, but now getting a letter has been a much more exciting experience in Skyrim. I hope to see more of Vander travelling around Skyrim (when not on deliveries) or chilling in a tavern Great work!
Ysmir's beard! This looks like an AWESOME lil mod, and I've never seen (or really noticed) anybody else doing anything with the same old, lame old, Courier that we've known for nearly a decade. So that'll be v many extra brownie points for uniqueness in my book, and I'm excitedly headed to try it out right now! Thank you!!!!
Thanks for the note, like said my first backport and the SSE Edit Version did not have any errors. Forgot the check. Will clear this up for future updates.
What an awesome way to overhaul the Courier. This is just fantastic!
Also: can you believe that over all these years, this mod is only the second to attempt a custom voiced overhaul for the courier? This was the first. I guess that goes to show how difficult of a work it was
