It's very beautiful work, the only issues, in my opinion was the bow is a little one, I mean, this did could be the same size of other bows in the game.
You are amazing thank you so much for making this...im literally going to reinstall the game just for this! beautiful work! I love the attention to detail, I roleplay as a mirkwood elf in skyrim and this is so perfect!
I have done replacers for all arrows in game with 'I Want Better Arrows' mod. I have also done Tauriels arrows with 'Tauriels Bow and Arrows' mod which are also included in Bowgasm. There are fletchings that are based on shapes from LoTR. Daedric replacer, and Dreadweave arrows use a shape found on Legolas' arrows from the Hobbit (IIRC) Nordic Hero, and Ancient Nord fletchings are based on the shape of Legolas' arrows from LoTR (IIRC) Both the Elven arrows replacer, and Tauriels arrows share the Fletching shape of WETA workshop concept art of Mirkwood arrows. Some of what was created from that inspiration for I Want Better Arrows mod
So I might not have done an exact copy of the concept art for Mirkwood arrows but I have done different options inspired by them for people to use or retexture :)
There's 3 more on the hard drive right now. Replacers for glass, and dwarven as well as a unique. All use the same model but have very different textures. Coming soon so keep an eye out. Nico
It's like anything else. The more you do it the better you get at it. I have been modding Elderscrolls since 2008 and I am still learning. That's part of what holds my interest in modding.
With these single releases it's a means to an end. The goal is to reshape Archery in my game. I started with the arrows. Now I am doing all the bows. There are good mods that fix aiming, and arrow speed/drop as well as some that add better animations. AGO and archery tweaks come to mind. Many arrow retextures as well as mods like Real Bows that address the models, and textures but nothing that really grabbed me by the heart strings, and screamed "You need THIS in your game!!!!" So my goal is to make that mod for myself since archery is my main play style. Since some people may only wish to have a unique item for their player I am trying to release these as they are created in both a replacer version that will be a part of a complete bow replacer (The End Game) as well as a single unique item. When all are complete the AIO versions for both replacer and unique items will be made. I felt this gives people the most options so that they can get what they want, and ONLY what they want without being locked into a complete replacer if they don't like that idea.
Sorry for the ramble but maybe this will help people understand why these are being released the way they are.
Neat. I find it very interesting to get a little insight into things like that. And I like your approach. Also, the black edition of this bow looks brilliant! Ty for sharing.
I have found it's humanly impossible to please everyone. Especially when it comes to mods. The best solution to this I believe is to offer as many options for installing a replacer type mod as possible. Making it modular. Take what you want and leave the rest. No scripts. No changed file structure. No plug in. Install with a mod manager and when removed later goes back to using whats in the vanilla .bsa easily, and without issue. Also if another replacer type mod comes out it will simply overwrite whats in the vanilla file structure with the new file (if you forget to remove the first one). Adding over a hundred mods is hard enough to get them to play nice together. Replacers like what I am making should be super simple to install and un-install without conflicts or the need for a plug in. That is the goal :)
